Looks like it. You can zoom in and see all the utility trucks.

And blue tarps.

You will get denied quickly for housing if you have insurance.

You can still apply for other expenses. Usually it a few days later you’ll get a letter saying you’re approved

Spent last night under a window unit after a hot shower for the first time in a few days. It was glorious. Planning to pull appliances out of my places today in preparation for demolition.

I'm taking 3 of the 4 places down to the grass. One is already off the blocks so it has a head start.

Will we need to remove all tarps beforehand? I have taken pictures and video of EVERYTHING.

It's great you have photos so you can have a record moving forward for disputes if needed, and some companies my start doing what they call virtual adjustments from what I was told where those would come in handy, but if an adjuster comes out he is going to want to take his own photos. I would wait until they tell me 100% that the tarp needs to come off. It may change from company to company or adjuster to adjuster but if they tell you to remove it then that means they want it 100% off usually. At least in my experience.

you might hit up Hot Rod Beloso, Cade's dad on twitter. I saw that he was bringing a crew to cook for folks in LC. may be able get something better than an mre.

Drive through the Civic Center. They load you up with 2 cases of water, 2 blue tarps, 2 bags of ice and 1 MRE every day.

The utility workers made it out to our area this morning. We stopped and asked if we should hook the neutral back up in our box. Ole baw said "oh no you good, its gonna be a while before you have power."

Day eight without power for us. The city website says they are hopeful to have most of it restored in the next couple of days. I dont believe them. My street still has trees and wires down. I know it's a tough job but I'm getting really frustrated at the slow pace. We rarely even see a utility truck in town. My mother usually sleeps with a nightlight. Last night she got up in the dark, lost her balance and fell. Very fortunate she wasn't hurt.

I’m not sure if this helps but if you could find some solar lights to leave outside during the day to bring in at night that may help
I’m not sure if WalMart is open there or if the garden center still has that kind of stuff out

I’m glad she wasn’t hurt

They’re also at Neighborhood Wal Mart in Moss Bluff.
