Thanks for the offer, Diamond. I'm going to get an employee of mine to go tomorrow hopefully. If not, I'll let you know.

Sry if already posted but are there Any pics from Alexandria? I saw some tweets about it being a nightmare over there and was just curious

I’ll check this thread at 7AM and 11:00AM. Post then if you need something. ATT sucks balls by the park which is where I live. I doubt I’ll have solid cell coverage.

Buddy checking in. Trees and power lines were down all over town. Spent the better part of the day in the side by side moving trees out of the road and clearing driveways.
Kudos to Cleco and the City of Alexandria. Places are already starting to come back online with power. Most of Downtown and the S/SE side of the city are up.

I'm by ASH... any word on that area?
ETA: though I'm on city power... not CLECO
ETA2: more importantly... there's a firehouse right in front of my apartment complex... so here's hoping my complex is on the same electrical grid as the fire station and thus given priority

Parts of Crossgates, West Point and Versailles are up. So y’all should be close.
We are over here by Bayou Rapides. They have a lot of work to do over here

Diamond my brother works at memorial — they’re evacuating patients. Also last night they got patients from the women’s hospital.
He wasn’t sure where they were going but Uncle Jack here said two hospitals in Lafayette were getting some of them. Maybe some are going to Texas as suggested by someone else?
Good luck to you all.

City of Alex utilities doing well, CLECO not so much.....

My brother works for Cleco but not there. I can tell you that they’re working 18 hour shifts.
I know it’s a pain in the arse but I’m pleading for patience. He wants to restore power because he wants to go home!

oh that's great to hear that those areas are starting to come up
I hope being so close to a fire station... close enough I can hear their radio alarms when a call comes in... means my grid may come up quicker than others
I was made downtrodden earlier today when I heard a rumor of at least 5 days... so this gives me some hope
honestly... I'm stunned by everything I'm hearing about the damage in Alexandria... wouldn't have guessed it would be that bad from a hurricane in a million years... honestly figured a singular tornado during regular severe weather season would've been more of a problem
and yes the irony of evacuating from a hurricane from Alexandria to New Orleans is not lost on me... but I definitely feel I made the correct call... I do love the time I get to spend with my family though I wish the circumstances were much better
I honestly feel like the bad luck weather charm for ELlick ever since I moved up there almost 5 years ago... there's been like 3 or 4 tornadoes in Alexandria/Pineville during that time (including an EF1 that struck the rental house in Pineville I was living in at the time) and now this

To be fair, the whole reason COA is up right now is because Cleco busted arse and got their transmission lines up.
