I was taking a shower in a dark bathroom, got out and felt the vent blowing on me...it took me about a minute to put two and two together.

I hope being so close to a fire station... close enough I can hear their radio alarms when a call comes in... means my grid may come up quicker than others
I spent four nights without power in apt 153 back in 1995 or so, whenever that ice storm came thru.....surely it is better than that now.

We’re in Abbeville but outside of city limits. Entergy hasn t even given a time frame.

Generator going and we’re in the pool house with a window unit, fridge and microwave — I can deal for a while. Got a gas grill and a hibachi griddle .. Sort of like a mini vacation I guess.

Going to be some long day’s and nights in Pineville I have a feeling. Anyone know what the gas situation around Pineville is in case I need to fill up my gas cans again?

If everyone will act like normal humans, it will be fine. That said, it will probably be a nightmare.

Were there Hurricane force winds as far north as Monroe, LA?

What is the furthest into land that this has happened before?

Hendo we’re pretty much always last. it is what it is. I can’t complain — I have a home and I’m here. My brother is out there somewhere on a pole as a lineman. Counting my blessings.

I think there’s a website someone posted called gasbuddy.com with info about availability. Try that. Good luck.

The Walmart in Pineville was the only gas available and there are literally hundreds of vehicles in a line going about a half a mile down 28East. It’s insane!

Mother fricker.

The prien lake area looks like a bomb went off. Rita’s wind had nothing on Laura.

How has this not been declared a disaster?

Damn.
I stay there too when I’m working out that way. Looks to be better than the others nearby but might be staying in Lafayette for a while.
