Damn boys we have 2 more systems we have to watch now heading to Puerto Rico in next few days.
Hey Mother Nature...send that shite elsewhere Louisiana should've met their quota for at least another decade.

The city of Alexandria has its own power plant and supplies its residents with electricity. Word I am hearing is that some major transformer was damaged, power is out for the whole city (everything) for “awhile” which will also effect water service over time. Can anyone confirm if this is legit or just a local rumor?

The weather channel even said it didn’t reach the predicted height because of the angle it came in. They didn’t have the expected southern wind coming up big lake.

Also, it’s not like 9-12ft surge is something to turn your nose at. That is very high surge.
Reports are coming in of a 15 foot storm surge in Grand Chenier.

Take a picture and/or video just like you found it and document the time of that. Then you should be able to clean up loose items and protect the property as best you can until adjuster comes.

Fox 8 earlier said "we may not know yet what the greatest storm surge was b/c landfall took the worst surge to an area where there are no gauges
so we won't know what the worst surge was until people start returning to that area... which I believe is around Grand Chenier

Do you have before pictures and videos? If so, take some after pics and videos, document everything, even take pics and videos of the pile of debris at the road.
That should be enough for you to start your clean up and rebuild process.....cant express it enough...DOCUMENT EVERYTHING
