I’m talking about I-10 from the Atchafalaya Basin to Lake Chuck that they closed yesterday

You can bypass the bridge using the I-210 loop


Crazy LC has a loop and BR doesn’t

I just spoke to a friend in Ester. Said water is just now coming in. Remember, they did not flood until the next day in Ike and Rita.

is not the only way, just the fastest way. You can go through Moss Bluff to Westlake but its a long way around.

Well, judging from reports in our neighborhood I didn’t flood! That was my biggest worry (no flood insurance). Anything else can be repaired.

I don’t think I’ll be able to find any of my chickens though

My parents are back in Forked Island. Only some shingle damage. Waiting to see if the tidal surge will continue farther North. They are dry so far.
