The water where Stephanie Abrams is reporting doesn’t appear to have risen at all in 2 hours

What’s behind it doesn’t look as bad as what just passed.

People in Laffy need to be aware that band has been spawning tornadoes all evening.

like i said earlier IF that storm chaser got stuck
you got a storm surge coming and literally nothing but marsh, aligators, and snakes around you for 3-4 days in 95 degree heat
Yea I have listened to a bunch of my grandfather's stories from Audrey...it was bad enough that even back then he said frick that and never went back. The images Stayed with him for life.

Looks like East Houston, Baytown, and League City is going to get hit fairly hard.
Ummmm, no.
Ah, crap. You're right. I was looking at this image, which is apparently a bit misleading.

i heard they're going to shut it off shortly
They probably have a sustained wind speed set for shutoff for all but the critical load areas like hospitals. When you have all but a guarantee for damage to 75% of the transmission and distribution system, having live lines down in flooded streets just adds to the danger.

The band going through Lake Arthur now and developing down to the coast will be the next one the Lafayette area gets and might be their worst part of the storm.
Hurricanes are band/wind and lull.. band/wins and lull spiraling around the center.

ok that makes me feel better
now the wind may tear that fricker up but my mom has wind coverage. just not flooding (because as she told me and i may learn tomorrow, if her houses floods all of LC will be underwater)
also the house is likely habitable, like Boat said.
