Governor Honor Code had a fundraising party Friday night. I’m sure all participants wore masks and stayed socially distant.

If we had a legitimate media outlet in Louisiana, someone would ask him about this. But we don’t, so they won’t and we’ll hear nothing about why it’s OK for him to have a gathering while he lectures ordinary folks not protesting on why they can’t.

Anyway, back to hurricane coverage.

Oh shut up. You'd be saying the opposite if this was bad and they hadn't

Taken from another site. If that’s truly the center heading towards the norther coast, this arrives quicker, which means further East. May ultimately rotate back around to SW and get back around to the bulk of convection making this a moot point.

ETA: purple line is NHC track

We’ve been pretty lucky with the last few storms crapping out or being nothing burgers. Sooner or later our luck was going to run out.

There's a blow up of activity near where the "new" or relocated center is. I'm not a professional meteorologist but I'd suspect as soon as it's over water, that may consolidate into the permanent center. Further north of where the NHC located it at 5:00pm.

EDIT:

Radar shows the center actually trying to rotate back to where the forecast position was previously. Who knows?!

I find it funny nobody on Twitter is talking about Laura's center being north. In fact, they're just mentioning hunters can't find the center.

Which would mean a more east track potentially closer to nola?
