Katrina tore up more cities than any other hurricane. The destruction arrived by buses.

BR took a worse hit from Rita than Katrina. Even with landfall that far away, being on the dirty side we got hammered with rain and wind. Laura could be as strong or stronger than Rita, and it was mentioned that rita was weakening, where Laura could be strengthening up until landfall. Even though track changed bigly from yesterday to today for BR, its still nothing to sneeze at. Not wishcasting, just trying be informative and precautionary.

Where are you seeing that? I haven't seen much of any alarming rain predictions.

Gustav in BR was the worst storm I’ve road out. Not including Harvey because Houston just got rain.

Downtown Houston for Ike in 2008. I went up on top floor of parking garage to watch

Ike is a great example. Houston inside the beltway saw max sustained winds around 80-mph, and most people that rode it out would say they’ll never do it again.

I don’t know if it’s alarming but I-10 stays on the messy side for awhile. Just depends on where the bands are hitting

No, it was a much higher percentage than you think. A lot of them brought their entitled attitudes with them. Of course, your response automatically signals you wouldn’t understand.

Someone help me out with Laura's strength. What are the OT weather experts saying about this one? Cat 2? 3?
