It looks like Laura’s center may be to the west of where the NHC put it in the 5:00am advisory. Is that just a MLC I’m seeing on IR satellite?

6z GFS is slightly more east of the 00z run. Takes it into Cameron Parish

Some spatially correlated agreement then between Euro and GFS?

Remember those are flight level wind barbs.

I have never seen so much change fro one run to another. I know tropical systems are unpredictable but these two are schizophrenic.

I bet the center ends up relocating south when all is said and done and it might even pass just south of Cuba. It's not much of a radar at Guantanamo but it should be in range very shortly

This would mean a more West track correct?

I am not a Met it could even mean a stronger storm. That MCL will be visible on Guantanamo radar soon I would think

Looks like both tracks have moved west a bit.. Gonna be really interesting to see where they actually go and how strong.

Good luck everyone

Yeah
Big west moves for both. Laura now target new iberia!

No intensification noted beyond cat 1

The Marco track and intensity forecast should be cemented at this point.
Laura could still show some variation

Did I just wake up to a more western track on both storms? Greater New Orleans area would be A okay if forecast holds true I would think
