4:26 am seems like a perfect time to explode my phone with an emergency alert that I am within 36 hours of a hurricane landfall.

It's looking like it may explode

Was my alarm to get up and go fishing.

Do you think my neighbors will care if I throw on the head lamp and mow?

You looking to mow in the night?

I say go for it. If they complain tell them state of emergency nullifies any social compacts.

Damn, I don't like the way these are looking.. Looks like I may be getting my bug out plan together just in case. Got some big pines right next to (over) my house and I've got 2 little kids.

Those pines are an issue, lost my house to those and water for Katrina

I’m guessing insurance told you the water flooded your home before the pines destroyed it?

Looks like Laura is continuing her westerly track

Glad to see this overnight NHC track shift which I think Duke earlier this morning had predicted primarily based on the Euro run last night.
Need all our storm experts to wake up damnit !!

6z GFS is slightly more east of the 00z run. Takes it into Cameron Parish.

As soon as the NHC shifted westward and said they’d reconsider if models shift East again, the gfs and icon both shifted a tad to the East

Two planes are about to be in the storms. Should get some center fixed in the next half hour or so.

We have some great weather guys.
I want them to wake up too. They are going to have some busy days ahead.
It’s great to come here and read rt’s and duke’s stuff.
And everybody else that post the weather diagrams and such. Thanks.

I’ll be shocked if all they find is 1004mb pressure in Laura.
