nola.com presented the buyback as a smashing success. So successful that they ran out of money!

That part is pretty racist.

I'd be willing to bet these people were all there as part of a coordinated effort to make a point.

The concept is inherently flawed, but I doubt the brand new gun guys were simply "entrepreneurs."

It's a figure of speech, and I'm not surprised that it was lost on you.

Yeah, I was just pointing out that it's kind of the Hayride's thing. I will admit, though, that it's usually a bit more veiled.

I know gun buy backs have worked in other states for decades. Some give away tickets for sporting events in exchange for a gun or even a smaller monetary sum like $100.

But $500 was ridiculous.

Detroit and Cleveland had successful gun buy back programs about 25-30 years ago. Not sure how they are doing now.

>get cheapest gun you can find
>trade in for $500
>buy better gun with the $500

Author probably didn't mean it to be, but certainly could've worded it better.

Pundits meation it’s a perfect example of how the rich get richer and that improvished AAs are left out by the oppression of institutional racism.
