She was also non-committal on Saints playing...
Because its not a given that there’s going to be football at all this fall. And if the NFL does plan to play as scheduled, she doesn’t have the political power to stop the Saints from playing. The state owns the Superdome, not the city. So JBE is the one who would make that call, not Latoya

Would it be possible for the Saints to play at Tiger Stadium?

Last time that happened (immediately post-Katrina), it was a disaster.

I’m fully aware but if you had existing licenses you were fine. Just paying more in taxes. My Jan 2020 revenue wast best month in 3 years.

If the Saints don’t play football this year, murders in New Orleans will be higher than ever before.

you can limit attendence at both of these events and still not be shoulder to shoulder with people.

FQF would be easy to distance

Jazz fest not so much. Crowded walk ways, crowded food areas, crowded stages

Limit the crowd & they prob don’t have the fest. Definitely won’t have the usual headliners. Maybe an all local fest would work

She is such a doofus.

I'm not saying she's not, but we obviously can't have festivals until we either have a vaccine or herd immunity.

The Saints were terrible last time. It wouldn’t be ideal but it wouldn’t be like last time.

NOLA is approaching permanent damage as it is. This would be a death blow. Billions in tourism and taxes lost for essentially an entire year.

Don't be foolish. Katrina did far more damage to nola, and it recovered. In fact, this could go on for 10 years, and it would not be a death blow. We would still have far more infrastructure than we did in 1800, and we "recovered" from that.

Nope. Nagin was actually a decent mayor.
