For the past 2-3 weeks every Ukrainian that I have heard that was actually in the know to what was happening was screaming for two things:
1. Heavy artillery
2. Ammunition
1. Heavy artillery
2. Ammunition

Residents in Transnistria are receiving text messages saying a Ukrainian missile strike is incoming.

They have both now or they are in route. Lots of 155s some self propelled.
I dont know if the Romanians publicized it but the have been mobilized since 24 Feb, the Poles as well.

Tranistria is a weird damn place.

Younger people who can work VPN can get foreign media and get a better sense of the situation, but the broad general Russian public is being prepared for a war with the west.

It is. I learned about it through Bald and Bankrupt. I enjoy his tours of the former Soviet republics.

That's the rub. If he can get mass wartime conscription he could get around that to some degree, but Russian youth aren't going to be as easy to dupe. If this is a meatgrinder and one that doesn't really threaten the Russian homeland, there starts to be pressure for regime change, especially if Russia isn't winning victories.

As some Russia expert noted, to a poor Russian, especially a poor ethnic minority, the chance of moving out of his parents two room hut and getting an apartment and a steady paycheck, may be worth the risk of dying or being maimed.

I have heard that the Russians are/have been conscripting/forcing Ukrainians to fight for them. Mariupol and Kherson regions. Is this true?

Russian sources are saying Romanian military personnel have been deployed to Moldova and are wearing Moldovan uniforms. Looks like they really are laying the groundwork here for something.

So basically they dont want any part of Poland or Czechia so they're picking on the weakest Frontline NATO member.

Moldova better get some help. Their army is smaaaaall and crappy.

The Ukrainian General Staff are reporting that the Russian forces in the region have been brought to full combat alert.

They've done the hell out of it in the Donbas. I've read the Ukrainians and Western press say they're planning/trying to do it, but I haven't seen any western press confirm that it's happening.

The Romanians arent bad and lots of American (I mean NATO) firepower in Romania.

Their military are pretty squared away. Small, but effective.
And the women are sooooo damn hot.

What do they expect to accomplish? They'll just kill their Russian officers or desert to the other side at the first opportunity. Russia has dropped any pretense of not being a third world military, albeit one with some legacy toys from a bygone era.

I’d be interested in more details here. Germany has a large gap that would need to be filled and idk how Poland could fill it alone.

I assume just in logistics capacity. It does sound desperate. In some of these extreme conscription situations there will be an implicit or explicit threat to family if the conscript doesn't serve honorably, but dunno here.

BREAKING:
Russia has completely stopped delivering gas to Poland.
Poland’s largest news portal, Onet, reports that the Polish state-controlled oil and gas company PGNiG, is holding a crisis meeting.
Poland is one of the countries that has refused to pay for gas in rubles.
