I don’t think that. I think you’re beside yourself that anyone on the right dare use your own tactics against you.
Quit derailing the thread, groomer.

The MANPAD stuff is nothing new, neither are Stingers et al. The forests and marshes near Kyiv were ideal places to use them up close in cover. The terrain of Eastern Ukraine is not as suitable for close in weaponry. T72's S300's, MiG's are all Soviet weaponry.
Ukraine has effectively used off the shelf style drones to direct artillery fire. They have also used drones to attack Russian vehicles. Do you think that Turkish drones have not been used in northern Syria by the Turks themselves?

My piece on Finland’s rapid moves towards a NATO bid. Gov’t update on security policy due Apr 14th. Things could move fast after that. “I'm pretty confident we will be filing the membership agreement…in a few weeks’ time” as MP @elinavaltonen told me. LINK

The better question is why were the fighters stunned by support of their countrymen?

We will accept Finland into NATO. Unlike Ukraine, they would/will be a worthy member
Would assume Sweden isnt too far behind

I don’t think Finland or Sweden will join NATO. Both nations have shown historically they’re more than capable of defending themselves. I’m not sure what the benefit would be for them. Like you said, they’re not Ukraine. NATO would respond to any aggression towards them if needed membership or not.

To be fair, after this Ukraines military will be significantly better battle tested than either Finland or Sweden with presumed appreciation and loyalty to NATO. Not saying either are incapable, but it doesn’t make Ukraine unworthy.
We’ve invested this much, we’d be well served to invest in a functioning democratic and at least largely capitalist Ukraine for future deterrence that doesn’t require nearly as much from us. Ukraine also shares the Black Sea with Turkey, who while being a NATO member, isn’t exactly warm and cuddly with the west and is home to an entirely different ideology.

Because what Russia has just done has completely and totally thrown everything out of whack and while Finland is very capabale of defending its own territory, they cant do shite against nukes and would probably liked to be backed by multiple nuclear powers in the event that Russia randomly decides that Finland needs to be denazified
Posted on 4/9/22 at 4:18 pm to DabosDynasty
Oh I agree. At this point whatever ultimately ends up surviving as Ukraine will be given NATO membership

No one can do shite against nukes if that hellish nightmare ever comes to fruition. I just don’t think it makes sense for Finland or Sweden to dedicate those resources to NATO.
Posted on 4/9/22 at 4:20 pm to TigerOnTheMountain
Because they want to make sure that if Russia randomly decides that Finland has a nazi problem, they wont just invade them
This is how they do that

The Helinski Accords and the OSCE already accomplish this.

Those arent binding mutual defence military treaties like NATO. Ukraine and Russia and all of NATO are currrnt members of the OSCE

Bruh
Finland and Sweden don’t need to join NATO. If you think the EU will stand by and let those countries be invaded because they’re not members of NATO, you’re a fricking moron.

So like they did with Ukraine?
Who’s given Ukraine more assistance? Us, or Europe?
