A U.S. intelligence community assessment obtained by Yahoo News concluded that the Russian government is providing “indirect and passive support” to neofascist groups operating in the U.S.

However will Vlad replace that thousand bucks he sent to all fifteen of the neofascists left here in the US?

Do you want to know who else Russia and China provide direct and indirect support too?

Antifa and BLM. This is established fact. And we do the same in their countries. It’s frankly all irrelevant and whoever in the intel community is working on white supremacy got assigned that duty because they couldn’t be trusted with anything that actually matters.

If we are to distill this to its essence, a lot of American white supremacists see Putin’s Russia as their beacon on a hill. Maybe that’s not everyone with Putin love but it’s a lot of them. This goes beyond the Poliboard.

I don't think that is completely accurate, I suspect a lot of the Russian/Putin admiration comes from the fact that Russia seems to be one of the few countries outside of the third world and China that rejects much of the liberal Western world of moral relativism, transgender and homosexual rights, CRT, "diversity," etc.

But it’s not the main reason or even close to it. The main reason is basic tribalism. They will like what their opponents (governments of many western nations, certain politicians, progressives, most media outlets, etc.) hate. In this case Russia so they’ll like Russia and Putin.

Just saw that Poland plans to propose a NATO “peacekeeping” mission in Ukraine.

No way that’s a viable option right?

Right????

Yes, diplomacy is always the art of reading what is not said. Especially with the Chinese. This statement is good news as it means Xi is sitting firmly on the fence. Which is as close to our side as we can ask for.

Right now, Putin is a big embarrassment and liability for Xi. Xi wishes to run for a third term as Chairman later this year and he doesn't need this albatross.

As I said yesterday I think an Eastern European alliance outside of the nato framework intervening is the best option

I heard an interview on (of all places...) NPR where a Euro Energy expert said Russia funded all the negative fracking information that flooded Europe that steered them away from that technology. Which of course is part (not all) of the reason Europe has elected to get natural gas from Russia..

The "Energy Expert" emphasized the fact the negative rhetoric from that campaign is proven to be false..

Russia also arrests you for writing "no war" on poster boards, arrests you for saying the Ukraine 'special operation" is a war, etc.

The admiration goes against basically everything we stand for as Americans, but at least they're not going to jail for their dissenting opinions.

Fair enough. Do you admire abortion? because the Russian abortion culture (state sponsored) is kinda a big deal. 1 in 3 women age 14-44 have had at least one.

I read Xi's statement as confirming the assessments that were released about a week ago to the NYT and other outlets from sources prominent within China that Russia's actions, the longer they continue, are adverse to China's interests.

You're bringing a tweet about Amy Shumer into a thread you would otherwise like to be serious. Analyze that.
