So did the money stop when Trump took over? Did the intelligence stop? If Trump is going to cut it off, why hasn't he done so already? If the war has been over all this time? Why is Trump wasting so much of our tax dollars on it?

ISW Update April 3 2025

quote:

Key Takeaways:

Russia seeks to leverage ongoing ceasefire and future peace negotiations to seize large amounts of territory in Ukraine and install a pro-Russian puppet government in Kyiv but will likely continue military operations in Ukraine if the Kremlin is unable to achieve a full Ukrainian surrender through diplomacy.

Russia is facing significant military and economic challenges that could seriously compromise Russia's ability to wage its war in Ukraine, factors that could increase the Kremlin's desire to accomplish its objectives in a mediated ceasefire or peace negotiation in the short-term if possible.

The US Treasury Department announced on April 2 that the United States lifted sanctions on Karina Rotenberg, the wife of Russian businessman and oligarch Boris Rotenberg.

Ukrainian forces advanced near Pokrovsk. Russian forces advanced in Kursk and Belgorod and near Lyman, Toretsk, Kurakhove, and Velyka Novosilka.

The Russian State Duma adopted a bill on April 3 to grant veteran status to Russian military personnel and volunteer formations that fought in Kursk Oblast.

How many times have you told us about the collapse of the Ukrainian line? Because I'm beginning to get the idea that you might be wrong on this subject.

Who knows what they concoct in the boiler room. It takes a lot of material to fill up a firehouse.

It's so tragic. Even during the most extreme regimes in history, there was a distinction between military and civilian roles—peasants were not typically sent directly into combat against their will.

We despise Zelenskyyy and his corrupt regime.

Unfortunately, I think ISW has been making this and similar claims but they have yet to come to fruition, at least sufficiently to materially impact the war.

They may have issues but I don't think they manifest themselves in time to really help Ukraine.

I see it the same way. I think ISW is overstating the issues Russia is having.

But I will say that for some reason Russia isn’t having the battlefield successes that you would assume they would have. There has to be reasons why and despite the propaganda JB puts forth Ukraine is holding on fairly well.

Now how long will it last? Maybe the CIA and KGB know, but they aren’t talking.

So the guy who got invaded is the bad guy? And the guy who launched the war that's killed and maimed one million people, and flattened countless towns and villages.... he's the good guy?

And you cheer on Russia by accusing it's enemy of being... corrupt?

You define the word hypocrite
