Let us look at the reality of what Ukraine has gotten out of this Globalist/Nato induced project:

1. Thousands and Thousands of dead people.
2. Destruction of lives, cities and territory
3. Loss of territory
4. Loss of natural resources and having to sell/give away its resources to outside parties.
5. A mass exodus of its population.
6. A destroyed economy
7. The long lasting implications to it's people and it's society ( land mines, PTSD, wounded and maimed soldiers, poverty, etc.)
8. A long list of Troskyites that exclaim that "I stand with Ukraine" while encouraging them to fight to the last person just to satisfy their neocon hatred of Russia. People who support the failed policies of forever war. Old cold warriors that exist in the 1970's and leftists that supported this because Biden and the Dems supported it. If they really cared about the Ukrainian people they would be calling for this to end.
9. A long list of "supporters" that want to see the grift and profits continue through the continuation of the suffering and war.
10. The loss of thousands of its children to Russia.
11. Etc. Etc.

I would like to see the Zelenskyites name one positive aspect/outcome of this project that has benefited Ukraine.

This has really worked out well for Ukraine and it's people. Death, destruction, rape and pillage do not equate to a positive future.

Globalists and NATO have destroyed Ukraine.

That's in response to putting tariffs on our largest trading partners. Wholly unrelated to Ukraine/Russia.

Where in that post do I mention Ukraine?

It sounds simple, but all you hear is Zelendky has to apologize (he should personally) and sign the mineral desl and the war is over.

That can’t be further from the truth.

A huge military conglomerate right on your border is something no country wants and it's totally understandable.

Your first point is correct, but it might not always be correct.

And NATO more or less attacked Afghanistan and Iraq under a pseudonym within the past couple of decades.

I very, very, very loudly opposed the invasion of Iraq. A second-generation Iraqi American friend of mine was pointing out at the time that while Hussein was horrible and probably needed to go, it would put themajority Shi'ite population (which his family was a part of) in charge... and that would be bad, because that would give Iran's regime more power in the region. He actually thought it would be better to invade Iran, instead. But it was unjustified...

I thought the invasion of Afghanistan was an overreaction and a disproportionate response and ultimately a detour and unneeded distraction since Al Qaeda was not ruling the country. But people wanted a tangible "win" and chasing a unrooted organization around the world wasn't going to satisfy that...

In both cases, though... while I disagreed with the actions and thought them unfounded, the Bush administration did them "the right way," as far as convincing the American public and international organizations that they were warranted and should be supported.

BTW, there's no small irony that the same people who were screaming at me for not being a patriot for saying those were bad ideas now act as if they were always opposed to them, themselves.

And those have been the only times that Article 5 has been invoked.

So how could NATO be used as an offensive force.

The alliance exists to keep Russia at bay... it might annoy them, but they keep proving it needs to exist.

If it is needed to protect Greenland from the US, things will get very strange...

The first Iraq war was necessary to protect our interests and the free flow of oil. The second proved to be senseless.

The Afghanistan war was justified, but yes probably over the top.

They didnt ask for it but that is exactly what this project has given them. The start of this war could have been prevented. This war could have been settled several times if Biden and Europe hadn't opposed it. NATO and the globalist kept pushing for membership for Ukraine while they never intended it.
It was all a lie!!! A proxy war at the expense of Ukraine.
Wouldn't those billions that Europe says that they are going to put up for weapons now benefit Ukraine much more if this ended and that money went for reconstruction?

Are you too dense to realize that? You people that support the continuation of this should have to go live in that devastation and share what you are wishing on those people.

You continue to support the same policies that gave us Vietnam, Iraq, Afghanistan and now this debacle.

I’m smart enough to know Putin pulled the trigger thinking Joe Biden and Europe would just roll over and he’d coast into Kiev, Kharkiv and Odessa in a month or so.

Quit making excuses for Putin. If everyone knew that Ukraine wasn’t getting in NATO, so did Putin. And Putin said he invaded yo protect ethnic Russians, get the and to demilitarize Ukraine.

Btw, Europe isn’t going to rebuild Ukraine after Russia takes over. Why would they help Putin?

Nuclear proliferation makes a ton of sense for basically any country on an individual level because of the fact that you can punch up. People can discount the nuke issue all they want, but both the US and the rest of the world treat countries with nukes and countries with a lot of natural resources with kid gloves for the most part. Russia has both.

For a long time, the US was explicit about limiting the number of countries with nukes. I guess we will see if the 'nuclear proliferation for everyone' is going to work out, but I think it will effects which will pose serious dilemmas for everyone.

A nuclear Iran, under their current regime, would be... bad.

I don't know whether to name you John Bolton, Dick Cheney or John McCain.

Or maybe Liz Cheney?

Maybe I will let your buddy Lunatic Keith choose since leftists like him love all of them now.

Those russian drones that are shot down on a daily basis somehow found their way to the power grid in Odessa yet again last night.

This time no usaid funding to repair it.

I see zelensky is calling for a ceasefire on energy targets, the natives must be getting pretty restless about not having power a good portion of the time.

Wonder how much ukranians will put up with before they get rid of this tyrant once and for all.

Maybe the soldiers should quit wasting bullets shooting an effigy of Trump and concentrate on holding at lease some portion of the front line.

I’m the old man who doesn’t know what he’s doing.

But I don’t believe everything I read on the PT board or from the Russian cabal

I do support Trump although his handling of Ukraine is bizarre, and instead of coming in ax a mediator he seems like an opportunist, as a bully and a friend of Putin.

I think Zekensky should resign and be replaced by a fresh face. He’d become part of the problem.

Right now I’m waiting to see if the mineral desl flies and if Trump has a second move.

The poliboard has been right way more often on Ukraine than this thread that’s for sure.

London CNN — The stocks of European defense companies soared Monday as investors anticipate massive increases in military spending by governments in the region amid its growing rift with the United States. The STOXX Europe Total Market Aerospace & Defense index had surged almost 7.9% by early afternoon local time, which put it on course for its biggest one-day jump in about five years. The index has risen more than 30% so far this year.
