Can we get an estimate in the burgers you've flipped of how much of your hard-earned money they're wasting?

I figured it had gotten pretty bad when John Barron quit telling us that Pokrovsk was going to fall tomorrow every day...

I don’t really believe any news coming from any official Ukrainian news outlet. The truth is probably somewhere in the middle.
Is "the war is over!" the middle ground, here?

I'm asking what you believe. You have to have an opinion one way or the other. The JB issue is a different question. You can 100% tell me with 100% accuracy whether or not you believe Citizen, with a yes or no answer. I cannot 100% tell you JB is or is a paid Russian shill because that is an actual fact, not what I believe. I answered what I believe with 'probably not' based on logic, reason, and probability. I also pointed out that I don't find his posts particularly compelling because of the format, though when he actually has commentary some of it is good.
To sum it up, you can’t answer yes or know either.
What I find amusing about you is that you take time out to dig into Citizen’s posts and information, but a pro Putin guy can come into the thread and post snugging and you don’t seem to care. Why is that?
I do think you have a grudge against Citizen. Why I don’t know, but it seems you do.
Google LSU discovers new technology.
Voila, “LSU’s pipeline leak detection technology” pops up. Apparently, LSU had a breakthrough discovery.
Guess what, it appears that some folks in BR worked on a technology that the eggheads in Cali. didn’t come up with.
So let me ask you, why do you believe all technological advancements come out Silicon Valley? Need flash.., it doesn’t.

I hadn’t really thought about it and I don’t really care.
It’s possible especially if it’s something to do with oil and gas. That’s not something you’d think would come out of Silicon Valley, right?
I don't remember the original quote saying anything about "Silicon Valley." It just said "years ahead of anything in the US," I think. Since he was talking about petrochem technology, I have no idea who inserted "Silicon Valley" into it, since that is not the hub of petrochem tech and innovation in the US.
So it's another straw man that has been hammered away on... and worship of "Silicon Valley" is a bit daft, anyway... the vast majority of anything coming from there falls flat on its arse and takes a lot of venture capital down the hole with it. The first internet bubble was overwhelmingly useless bullshite that tanked... a lot of the most recent wave has been pretty much outright scams. China just pulled the rug out from under the AI industry...

"Yes or know"
Your question to me isn't a yes or no question. My question is. If I knew for sure if he was a Russian shill, I could answer yes or no. Do you know without a shred of doubt that he is? If not, then you can't answer it either. But you can't even tell me what you personally believe, so that isn't suprising.

I've interacted with some of you for about a year or so at this point. I don't look up anyone's post history unless I know they contradicted themselves and its in the past few days. Its not worth combing through that shite for a message board discussion. But I do remember what people say, times they were caught being wrong, lying, etc. Some posters I pretty much 100% disagree with, and thats fine. But when someone has been caught lying and then says more obviously untrue shite, I think it should be called out. If it were just about disagreement, why don't I post that way about you or GOP or anyone else who has said negative shite about me?

No, he’s still haunting the Russian peeps here.
The Ghost of Kyiv died in a kamikaze mission taking out those fearsome elite Chechen soldiers that were going to hack their way bravely through the Ukrainian defense.

I respect your answer, but why can’t you reflect mine?
I don’t know for sure that Citizen lied.

I don't think he is. He has some ridiculous takes and I suppose could be a plant of some sort, but I think there are enough ridiculous people trolling on the internet that it's much much more likely he's doing it for personal sport.
I do think the idea that anyone pushed to the Russia side of this dispute is a paid shill is silly and reflects how out of touch people who've made the Ukranian cause their religion have become.
I say "pushed" because I think innately, most people have empathy for Ukraine and against the belligerents. I think most have very little natural inclination toward Russia/Putin, but after multiple years seeing everyone they dislike align and waive the Ukranian flag while Putin at least gives voice to the platitudes they care about, they're inclined to combat the Ukraine crowd even if they're not truly on the side of Russia.

This is going to be a sticking point. Russia will demand formal recognition on the four oblasts and Crimea. Zelensky is saying he won't do that. It seems to me that Zelensky and the EU want this war to continue.
Zelensky wants peacekeepers. Russia says no.
Zelensky wants a million man army. Russia wants Ukraine demilitarized.
Europe is in panic in regards to the US pulling out of Europe. Maybe they think if the war continues they can keep the US tied to Europe.
A scenario that may happen is:
1. Elections (Zelensky is gone)
2. No NATO for Ukraine. Ukraine changes it's constitution and accepts neutrality. Nationalist militias in Ukraine have to be dismantled. Ukraine's army size is limited.
3.Trump secures the rare Earth minerals for a US security guarantee that includes no US troops.
3. Europe provides troops as peacekeepers with no Article 5 guarantee
4. Russia's incorporating the four oblasts and Crimea is formally recognized.
5. Sanctions are lifted.
Russia, Ukraine and Europe would have to compromise for this to happen. That might be Trump's starting plan. If compromise is not achieved Trump tells them that they are own their own and the war continues.
I don't like having to give you an upvote, but that is a spot-on appraisal.

Because I'm asking what you believe. Not whether it's true or not. Do you believe the claim, yes or no?
Is it so hard to plant your flag behind a belief?

It is a bit foolish to plant your flag firmly behind a "belief" without facts. You can remain agnostic on things until the facts emerge.
That is the basis of Socratic Wisdom.

Somehow I don't think Ukraine will ever disarm. They'd have to trust Putin and Moscow first and that will never happen.
