In the Kupyansk direction, the active advance of Russian troops on the western bank of the Oskol continues. Despite the constant arrival of Ukrainian reserves, the Ukrainian Armed Forces are unable to stabilize the defense.

Units of the Russian Armed Forces managed to advance west of Zapadnoye and reach Doroshovka. Intense fighting is recorded along the entire contact line. Ukrainian forces are actively using artillery and drones, but so far they have not been able to hold the front line.

A special role in the advance of Russian troops is played by the tactics of assault groups, operating in small mobile units with artillery support. The Ukrainian Armed Forces do not have time to regroup, which leads to the loss of positions and deterioration of logistics in this area.

Successful development of the offensive in the Kupyansk direction could open the way to further advancement into the Kharkiv region and create the preconditions for reaching more strategically important objects.
