Zelenskyy believes Trump can end war faster than anyone else in world
KATERYNA TYSHCHENKO — Saturday, 25 January 2025, 19:53
President Volodymyr Zelenskyy believes that US President Donald Trump can end the war in Ukraine faster than anyone else in the world.
Source: Volodymyr Zelenskyy in an interview with Italian journalist Cecilia Sali for Il Foglio Italian newspaper
Quote from Volodymyr Zelenskyy: "He [Trump - ed.] simply cannot know all the details of how everything will end, in my opinion. I felt it in our meetings that he wants this [to end the war - ed.] I told him frankly that Putin definitely does not want this, so it will not happen quickly. But Trump, through his strength, sanctions, the strength of the US, the economy, etc., can speed it up.
At the very least, he can end it faster than anyone else in the world today. In terms of the military, the economy, America's influence on the global economy, and his personal qualities, I believe he can have a significant impact sooner than anyone else. I believe China has significant influence, but the United States has even more."

Florian Philippot born 24 October 1981) is a French politician. He served as Vice President of the National Front from 2012 to 2017 before quitting the party to found The Patriots in September 2017, which has failed to win any representation in subsequent elections.
Asking Grok about him: Florian Philippot is not currently serving in any government position. He left the National Front (now known as the National Rally) in 2017 to form his own party, "Les Patriotes," and since then, he has not held any elected office. His attempts to gain seats in various elections, including the European Parliament elections, regional elections, and the French presidential election, have been unsuccessful.
You hold him up as some bastion of truth. He's just another random dude on X. Yet in standard Russian troll farm fashion, you post it here as if it's some major point.

It's almost as though JB is from another culture and isn't able to evaluate which voices are likely to be perceived as persuasive to an American audience.

More likely it is the researchers back at the troll farm in Russia who are finding these posts on X and putting them in the response playbook for the troll farm front men.

British Navy Submarines Mistook a Flatulent Whale for Russian Spy Equipment, — The Sun
?? Suspicious “explosions” were detected twice by Navy sensors scanning the area for signs of hostile activity. Concerns arose that a Russian unmanned submarine had dropped a listening device onto the seabed in northwestern Scotland.
?? However, a naval official told The Sun: “We analyzed the sounds and now believe it was a marine mammal. A whale.”

US diplomats push for exemption on Ukraine aid amid 90-day freeze, FT reports
by Olena Goncharova January 25, 2025 10:30 PM
U.S. diplomats are urgently seeking an exemption for Ukraine-related programs from a 90-day foreign aid freeze imposed by Secretary of State Marco Rubio, according to documents reviewed by the Financial Times (FT) and sources familiar with the situation.
The sweeping directive, which took immediate effect, also includes "stop work" orders on existing projects.
Senior diplomats in the State Department’s Bureau of European and Eurasian Affairs requested a full waiver to exclude U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) operations in Ukraine, citing national security concerns.
"We do not know at this time whether this request will be approved — in whole or in part — but there are positive signals thus far out of Washington," an email sent to USAID staff in Ukraine on Jan. 25 read, according to the FT.

A party which controls zero seats. Hey, I just made up a political party which I control, and which controls zero seats in Congress -- if I tweet that Putin is a poo-poo head, will you paste and post it?

He's been out of the government since 2017...8 years. At what point do you stop being called a politician and transition to a former politician?

USAID
I wonder why they believe Ukraine is dangerous?
quote:
The United States Agency for International Development (USAID) is the United States’ government agency that leads international development and humanitarian assistance efforts to partner countries. We work together with individuals, communities, and countries globally to improve everyday lives. USAID’s efforts provide humanitarian assistance, reduce poverty, strengthen democratic governance, advance economic opportunities, and help achieve progress beyond programs.
Our work benefits people around the world, including those in the United States. USAID’s investments help achieve sustainable development progress, advancing our collective security, health, and prosperity.
I wonder why they believe Ukraine is dangerous?

He’s the leader of Patriot Party. 36,000 members.
The loser in the BR mayor’s race got more votes than that.

The sheer volume and rate that JB posts in this thread alone is amazing. He singlehandledy just about out-posts the pro-Ukraine crowd in this thread alone. Not to mention wherever else he is posting in TD
