Speaking remotely to the World Economic Forum annual meeting in Davos, Switzerland, President Donald Trump said he would ask Saudi Arabia and the Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries, or OPEC, to lower oil prices.
Just watched that. Highly recommended.

Might have something to do with Russia being a Member of OPEC+

"The situation in Velyka Novosilka remains catastrophic for the garrison stationed there. They are effectively cut off, with some reports stating that soldiers are attempting to flee through Russian positions in Vremivka to escape. Outside units are attempting to break into the town but are being hit by Russian FPV drones. I don't see how Ukraine is going to be able to escape from here. This is a bit like Vuhledar, but with even more soldiers in the encirclement.
The incompetence of the Ukrainian command to make difficult decisions is obvious here, and it is going to cost many their lives. Ukraine is more set out to have PR wins and fight to the last man to show the world how valiant they are, when in reality it's these poor soldiers on the ground being abandoned and then killed or captured."

Graphic Video:
This is reportedly a video from the Velyka Novosilka area showing what looks like former members of the 110th that were wounded and left in a house.
Velyka is nightmare for the remaining Ukrainians.

You mean Davos? I watched it. There is no news. Trump incorrectly said 1 million Ukrainian soldiers are dead along with 1 million Russians. Trump is trying to end the War like he should. The problem is he was handed a shite sandwich by the Biden Administration. Meanwhile Zelensky said yesterday that before any negotiations start Russia must return to the 2022 borders.

This War is not ending, it will be fought to the final outcome. You NAFO Fellas should feel very confident about that since Russia is about to collapse according to you guys
Trump said Z was ready to negotiate. You missed that part? Come on man, you are slipping. I thought you were the man.
Oh and Trump said millions of people were killed in Ukraine not Russians.

Trump says it’s Putin’s fault Ukraine war isn’t over
U.S. president also says he’ll ask NATO allies to raise defense spending to 5 percent of GDP.
DAVOS, Switzerland — Donald Trump directly blamed Vladimir Putin for the fact the war in Ukraine is still raging — a day after threatening massive tariffs and sanctions on Russian products if he fails to make a deal to end the conflict.
Speaking in a video address to the World Economic Forum in Davos, the United States president said he would bring down the cost of oil, because "if the price came down, the Russia-Ukraine war would end immediately," adding: "It's time to end it."
Asked whether he believed the war in Ukraine would end by the time the WEF returned to Davos in a year, Trump said: "Well you're gonna have to ask Russia. Ukraine is ready to make a deal."
The comments explicitly blame the ongoing war on Moscow, as Russian energy revenues are funding its war chest, and are the latest indication of Trump's evolving perspective on the conflict and warming of relations with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy.

So far President Trump has said:
1) Russia has 800K to 1M casualties - JB says WRONG
2) Zelensky is ready to negotiate - JB says WRONG
3) Russias economy is in trouble - JB says WRONG
What makes you think you are more informed on the war's status than Trump? I thought you were 100% on the Trump train.

"The Military Situation in Eastern Ukraine Has Collapsed” — Neue Zürcher Zeitung
The Swiss newspaper Neue Zürcher Zeitung highlights the deteriorating situation in Velyka Novosilka, Chasiv Yar, and Pokrovsk:
Velyka Novosilka: Ukrainian forces are reportedly “trapped” in this strategic town, surrounded by three rivers. Once a defensive stronghold in southern Donbas for three years, the town is now on the brink of falling. Ukrainian troops are cut off from supplies, with their only option being a retreat on foot or makeshift rafts across the Mokri Yaly River, abandoning heavy equipment.
Efforts to provide reinforcements have failed, as indicated by footage of destroyed Ukrainian armored vehicles in the area.
Recurring Pattern: The current scenario resembles previous costly retreats, such as in Avdiivka a year ago and Vuhledar in October. Swiss commentators, citing Ukrainian journalist Yuriy Butusov, note growing frustration among Ukrainians about Kyiv’s delayed decisions in hopeless situations.
Following the fall of Velyka Novosilka, Russian forces are expected to advance northward toward the Dnipropetrovsk Oblast border, where minimal geographical obstacles remain. “Velyka Novosilka symbolizes the shifting fortunes of this war,” the publication observes, recalling it was the site of Ukraine’s failed counteroffensive in the summer of 2023."

Russia is absolutely pushing forward in areas of eastern Ukraine; however, keep in mind that these gains are more tactical in nature. There is very little threat that Ukraine is going to get rolled up by Russia. Look at this map (it's from December so its a little outdated) The gains that Russia is making are incremental. Its the Yellow areas adjacent to the red areas it already controls.
Russia's goal is to try and capture as much of the 4 oblasts that it "annexed" without having already captured them.
You can right-click and view the image in a tab to zoom into this map.
It's taken Russia 3 years to get this far; at that rate of advance, it will take them 30+ years to capture the whole country.
