If it were to happen, I believe it would come in the form of something to do with the nuclear plant or maybe a type of disposal site. It would have to be at least semi-believable to even have a chance to be bought by the international community. It would probably be something that ends with the Russians "thwarting" whatever "attack" the Ukranians had planned.
As to what benefit the Russians would have, I suppose to paint the Ukranians in an even darker light than they have already. Maybe an effort to prop up Putins claims that the Ukraine military and its leaders are up to no good.

When a few people keep popping up and trying to turn it back to domestic political antagonism they tend to get downvoted.
