Lol. My point is “Everyone who disagrees with me is a pedophile” has become the new mouthbreather credo. Thank you for reinforcing my point. That’s why the Poliboard nutcases were theorizing that Tom hanks etc were really pedophiles and the Covid outbreak was a cover to summarily arrest and execute all of them (re: anyone who criticized trump). And that’s why you naturally gravitate to tyrants like Putin, because you want to see your political enemies here eliminated in Stalinist show trials. You may claim to be a patriot but your fever dreams show that you hate everything this country stands for. Cheers!

If the Ukrainians are smart, they will release all the Russian captives to Poland and Nato and treat them very very well for propaganda. Imagine if the US and EU offers immediate citizenship, no prison to all Russian troops that give up and defect. No video etc required. Lay down your weapons, waze special flags (which are going to be everywhere) and let’s match you up with a free country. Welcome to Idaho, South Dakota, Scotland wherever. shite teach those guys english and make them cops. We only have about 200,000 openings right now

True, and i agree there’s some room for argument, to say the least, over things like what America’s involvement should be. People raising food for thought along those lines are welcome. Barring some outright invasion of Europe, which I don’t see happening, we shouldn’t send any American troops. That is my position. There is no room for argument, however, that Russia is the aggressor here, that this war was a war of choice, and is a purely imperial exercise. And you’ll find that the Putin enablers and defenders and celebrators (Palmetto for instance) , not to conflate them with those seeking genuine discussion, are invariably the same lunatics that kept the Q thread going for as long as it did. They’re authoritarians and statists whether or not they’ll admit it to themselves.

To clarify, we're not talking about traffic cops drafted into the army. They're more analogous to the Einsatzgruppen following along behind the Wehrmacht. These are internal security troops. They're the ones who make sure any protest movement in Russia gets crushed before it gets started. Not surprising they'd be embedded with the army, probably to provide rear area security. They would be the ones involved in executing civilians, etc. to quell any resistance movement. This guy is savvy enough to play the innocent policeman conscripted into service, but he's a lot more than that.

Presumably a dirty bomb or some relatively "minor" incident to justify completely taking the gloves off for Putin to break Ukraine's will and save him from his current predicament.
I'm not endorsing any side of this of this particular narrative, but I think that's the idea.

Seriously asking. No bullshite. I would like to see someone verify the identities of those three, in particular. The story given is that they were captured early in the fighting. I don't know on what day that press conference was recorded.
Knowing if they are legit would go a long way in regard to the weight of other POW statements that have been released.

A nuke going off in Ukraine is far more likely to bring in NATO than it is a help to Putin in any way.
