Apparently, the Ukranians are releasing actual press conferences held with Russian POWs. They give name, rank, and birthday at the beginning of the video. I wonder if anyone has been able to verify their identities?

Russia sent cops into Chechnya too. They're not really like your local PD, more like FBI/ national police SWAT or something along those lines being sent to a war zone. The regular troops are in other videos where they give a lot less detail about their backgrounds, basically just say their age, rank and then say they're being treated well, weren't told where they were going, what they were doing etc.

The Russians are notorious for using their own people as cannon fodder, I really think that’s why the Germans hated them so much and treated them like dirt. Hell Stalin killed 10 times more Russians that Hitler ever thought about. (I know i’m WW2, the Brits, and French, Turks etc were all just as bad. )

With this being an election year Morrison is doing everything possible to divert attention away from his shitty handling of Corona/Covid Camps and large parts of the settled east coast being under 30 feet of water. (The opposition leader is an even bigger dipshit.) Australia's afternoon news has been depressing lately.
