I was going to mock you as one of those that if the 82nd Airborne landed you'd call it a police action, but then you went and beat me to it.

We laugh, but this is not at all impossible when large amounts of ammo are stored out in the open, as seems to have been the case at both ammunition bases struck last night. There are satellite videos (just a few days old) showing hundreds of crates of ammo just open to the air.

And luckily Ukraine can probably depend on the Russians doing the exact same thing, probably in the same location, with whatever Russia can scrounge up to replace the destroyed ammo. Just as everyone knew after the first attack the other ammo sites with similar open-air storage were going to be hit... one guy on X even posted their locations and satellite photos and wondered if the Russians would disperse the ammo or something... and one commenter said "If this war has proven anything, it's that Russia keeps doing exactly whatever makes them vulnerable hoping the other side eventually just runs out of ammo."

Where did PART of the 82nd Airborne land? None went to Ukraine.

The most fascinating part of this to me is that the propaganda has been good enough to take the party of the anti war movement of the sixties and every war since and turned you into warmongering cheerleaders for evil.

Wasn't the 60s anti war movement more about the invaders withdrawing and going home and not about the country defending their land capitulating to the invaders? Unless you live in parts of Kursk, they can withdraw and go home whenever they want.

Australia has 59 M1A1 tanks that they decommissioned back in July. Since these tanks lack depleted uranium armor, it should be relatively simple to send them to Ukraine. And that may happen very soon. LINK

It was late and I was halfway through a fifth of whiskey. So if it was a troll I did fall for it; and apologize for calling West a dumbass. The sentiment still applies to the rest of the dumbasses.

Ha! Same with me last night... I woke up and returned to that "Goat" post to look at the vid with more scrutiny... my subconscious was like "that has to be AI" though a couple of margaritas last night made it seem plausible...

And which party was "the anti-war party" in the 60s?

Eisenhower started the Vietnam intervention, though reluctantly on his part and under pressure from various sectors, but JFK and Johnson are who ramped it up, especially Johnson... Nixon ran on ending the War, then prolonged it for his personal gain. The Left at the time was protesting the Democratic Party and then Nixon... the Right was defending the fight against Communism.

I'm more concerned if some of the posters around here (and especially the PT board) are always sober when they post some things...

New strikes on Russian depots destroyed at least 2,000 tons of ammunition

Ukraine’s General Staff confirmed the destruction of two Russian depots that stored ammunition, including from the DPRK.

The General Staff noted that it referred to the Tikhoretsk ammunition depot and a depot in the Tver region.

The Ukrainian forces hit Russia’s Tikhoretsk ammunition depot in Krasnodar Krai on the night of September 21.

“This facility is one of three largest storage bases in the Russian Federation and is one of the key ones in the logistics system of the invaders’ troops,” the military says.

According to the General Staff, at the time of the strike, another train was on the territory of the ammunition depot, delivering at least 2,000 tons of ammunition, including from North Korea.

In addition, the Security Service of Ukraine struck the 23rd Arsenal of the Main Missile and Artillery Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation near the village of Oktyabrskoye, the Tver oblast.

According to some OSINT analysts, the 23rd Arsenal could be used by the Russians to store artillery shells coming from North Korea.

Sure they can. Or they can sit down and just hold the russian speaking parts as Ukraine kills every man in the country bashing against that wall. Because they aren't going to kick them out. Ever.

So now what?

This ends at a negotiating table either way. Why not do it before more are killed for Raytheon/Northrup Grumman/CIA's bloodlust for profits?

Russia once again refuses to attend second Peace Summit

KATERYNA TYSHCHENKO — Saturday, 21 September 2024, 22:06

Maria Zakharova, spokesperson for Russia's Foreign Ministry, has stated that Russia is not going to attend the second Peace Summit.

Source: press service for Russia's Foreign Ministry, citing Zakharova

Details: Zakharova called the preparation for the second Peace Summit "yet another manifestation of the fraud by the Anglo-Saxons and their Ukrainian puppets" who want to "push the absolutely unviable Zelenskyy formula as the sole basis for resolving the conflict, to gain support from the global majority and to deliver an ultimatum demanding Russia's surrender on its behalf".

"We will not attend such 'summits'," the official said.

She also echoed Russia's mantra of being supposedly ready for a "political and diplomatic settlement" of the war of aggression initiated by the Kremlin against Ukraine, stating that Moscow is prepared "to discuss genuinely serious proposals that take into account the situation on the ground".

Zakharova also called the Ukrainian incursion into Russia's Kursk Oblast and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy's request to Kyiv's partners for authorisation to strike deep into Russian territory with Western-supplied weapons "a continuation of terror" against the Russian population.

"We will not talk to terrorists," the spokeswoman said, completely disregarding the fact that her country has been murdering Ukrainians in an unprovoked war of aggression, now nearing its third year.

Zelensky recently presented a "plan for Victory" to Western leaders, including Biden and his advisors, who approved it... and he had to present it to both Harris and Trump, too...

I'm guessing that plan was destroying so many Russian munitions that Putin is handicapped and can no longer fight?
