FPV drone flew over 20 km and destroyed the Russian Grad MRL
The Ukrainian FPV drone managed to cover tens of kilometers and hit a Grad multiple rocket launcher.
The soldiers of the Attack Drone Company “Heavenly Mara” said that special antennas helped them fly over such distances.
“We have drones and antennas to fly this distance. Now the question is about the batteries,” said the soldiers of the 43rd Mechanized Brigade.
A Russian BM-21 Grad multiple rocket launcher was hit by a drone near the village of Bohorodytske in the Luhansk region.
The village is approximately 20 kilometers from the line of contact.
Long-range drones are often not launched directly from the front line. Also, drones do not always fly in a straight line to the target.
The Attack Drone Company “Heavenly Mara” noted that the drone had to fly 31 kilometers to the multiple rocket launcher.
Supposedly, the Ukrainian troops have received powerful repeaters for FPV drones.

Yep, every time I look up, the drone wars get even more complicated. There are a number of examples of drones carrying other drones to extend range. There are even videos of the giant octocopter "Baba Yaga" drones carrying a brood of FPV drones into the fight.
Speaking of the Baba Yaga, Ukraine for a while had simply incredible success with them -- there were multiple videos of a Baba Yaga taking out over 10 armored vehicles in a single night. Now, though, the big, slow Baba Yaga has to worry about an FPV taking it out, and that's happening a lot more often.
Then, this came out a few days ago:

What bunk.
Greenwald conveniently ignores that the proposed agreement would have prevented any security arrangement with any western country, unless Russia was given a veto. Essentially, Putin would preserve his options to invade again at any time he chose.
If you actually read that article that he's misrepresenting (which I'm sure you didn't), you'd find that the deal was nowhere close to being signed -- that's an outright lie on his part.

At last year’s NATO summit in Vilnius, Lithuania, 11 member countries pledged to train Ukrainian pilots to fly the F-16 fighter jet. It was a major decision, one that enabled the eventual choice to send the jets themselves, an upgrade to Ukraine’s air force that officials in Kyiv had wanted for more than a year.
But almost a year later, and only weeks before the next NATO summit, in Washington, those F-16s have yet to arrive. In fact, despite a commitment that those planes will start reaching Ukraine by the end of this summer, issues with their delivery are becoming clearer — from the number of pilots who will be able to fly them to crews ready to keep them working.
“The training pipeline on the F-16s is pretty meager,” said a senior U.S. defense official, speaking with reporters on the condition of anonymity to talk candidly.

It's easier just to lie and when you are listening to Russians, they do all the work for you.

British Defence Intelligence
INTELLIGENCE UPDATE
UPDATE ON UKRAINE 16 June 2024
Russia's recently announced tax hikes will almost certainly be used to fund growing financial commitments, including the war in Ukraine. The tax changes are expected to raise additional revenues of approximately 2.6 trillion rubles ($29 billion) in 2025. The corporate tax rate will increase from 20 to 25 per cent, and additional tax brackets will be introduced under the new income tax system. The highest income tax rate will increase from 15 to 22 per cent.
The additional revenue raised, primarily through the corporate tax increase, will almost certainly be used to fund increasing government expenditures. Government spending in 2024 is forecast to increase by approximately 15 per cent from 2023 but will highly likely increase further. This increase in spending will almost certainly continue in 2025 as defence expenditure will highly likely increase, alongside social and infrastructure spending.
The increased tax burden on businesses will almost certainly restrict future investment and growth of non-military sectors. Russia's economic growth is highly likely being driven by high state investment into the military sectors of the economy. However, investment into non-military sectors is likely stagnating. Military sectors are also highly likely monopolising much of the available labour resources. The added costs to businesses will almost certainly restrict further private investment into non-military sectors.

Solzhenitsyn wasn't really the saintly figure that many people assume. I've read Gulag Archipelago which becomes quite a slog but is still worthwhile to do. Solzhenitsyn really hated Ukraine and it came through in the book. He was a hard core Russian nationalist at his death. Were he alive he'd be cheering on Putin, even with the lies.

Reuters published the full text of the draft declaration from the June 15-16 peace summit in Switzerland, where participating countries condemned Russia’s war against Ukraine and emphasized nuclear plant operation, prisoner release, and safe commercial shipping in the Black and Azov seas.

Key Takeaways:
Several senior Western officials made statements at the Ukraine-initiated Global Peace Summit in Switzerland that inadvertently play into ongoing Russian information operations falsely portraying Russia as interested in legitimate and good faith negotiations, likely in part due to Russian President Vladimir Putin's efforts to undermine the summit through his carefully planned restatement of his uncompromising demands for Ukraine's capitulation on June 14.
Kremlin mouthpieces amplified ongoing Russian information operations intended to discredit and disrupt the Global Peace Summit.
Ukrainian First Deputy Defense Minister Lieutenant General Ivan Havrylyuk reported that Western military assistance has begun to arrive in Ukraine, but that Western military assistance will likely not arrive at scale and significantly impact the frontline situation for several more weeks to months.
Chairperson of the ruling United Russia Party Dmitry Medvedev officially replaced United Russia Secretary Andrey Turchak with acting Russian Presidential Plenipotentiary Envoy to the Ural Federal District Vladimir Yakushev.
Russian President Vladimir Putin is preparing a group of trusted and Kremlin-affiliated “veterans” to assume government roles likely in an attempt to appease Russian servicemen and domestic supporters of the war in Ukraine.
The Swedish military announced on June 15 that a Russian Su-24 tactical fighter-bomber plane temporarily violated Swedish airspace east of the southern tip of Gotland on June 14, likely as part of an effort to discourage European states from participating in NATO and other international institutions supporting Ukraine.
Russian forces recently marginally advanced near Kupyansk and Avdiivka.
Elements of the Russian Baltic and Pacific fleets are participating separate naval exercises.
A Financial Times (FT) investigation published on June 12 found that Russian officials have put Ukrainian children up for adoption whom Russia had forcibly deported from occupied Ukraine to Russia in 2022.

Yes, Solzhenitsyn was no saint, which just underlines the fact that he was Russian. But he was writing complaints about the Soviet mindset that dovetailed with Western concepts. Neither were entirely accurate but there was the commonality of enemies going for them.
I believe the salient point is that Russians lie. Russians lie. Russians lie. Russians lie. It is part of their cultural DNA. They lie about everything, even when it is against their own interests. They have an allergy to the truth.
With Russians, the question isn't if they are lying or not - we know they're lying - the question is: Why are they lying? What are they covering up, why are they distracting us, how does this misinformation fit into their intent? I know these are generalities, but if you find any exceptions they will be on a very short list.
