I have friends, in Florida, that are Ukranian, and raised in the Ukraine. The big meltdown at Chernobyl was not publicized over there. One said he, and his family, did not hear of it for aboot 10 years. He also said they lived aboot 75 miles away.

China is asshoe for sure. Not sure how that has anything to do with Serbia though. An attempt at a redirect maybe?

lol ok. I’m sure the CIA just fabricated Srebrenica out of thin air, with Soros help.

Where were you when that occurred?

I don’t see how that’s possible just from word of mouth. For a year. But there was major evacuations and a major military operation. I don’t see how everyone around wouldn’t know something was going on. 75 miles in a rural area is a long way in a country like that, but still.
Not to mention, some Ukrainians would be traveling to other countries and hear about it there and it would be discussed to friends and relatives. I’m not saying he’s lying, but you have to assume the avg person in Ukraine knew shite happened to some extent.

The genocide was in Bosnia, though.

I'm just curious if you are an expert on the war in Bosnia; have been there, studied it academically, etc.

I'm with the same thoughts. There's something like 7 million people in Ukraine, Belarus, Russia, maybe others, getting paid pension for the Chernobyl disaster. I've seen documentaries where entire communities retired (albeit poorly) as soon as they started getting that pension. Even the most remote farmer with no TV, no radio, no electricity is/was getting pension and by that, knew of the disaster.

Are you? If so just say so and educate instead of wasting everyone’s time for the next 9 posts so you can have your gotcha moment down the line.

Any updates on the Miss Ukraines tank destruction with a sniper rifle?
I heard it was close to 16 tanks. Anyone have any reports on that?
Saw Max from DWTS deserted his fellow countrymen wish Klitchsko would fight him on PPV

I’m sorry I was 12 and not eligible for military service at the time. I was reduced to studying it academically. I’m sure my textbooks and lectures not to mention the 20 years plus of corroborated evidence to emerge are all propaganda. Plus for someone who was “there” you don’t even know where the killings in question took place.

I'm guessing more than most. I served in Kosovo with the US Army in 1999 with the initial entry force in Kosovo. My primary job was to investigate alleged war crimes there and recover and process bodies. My job then turned into providing security to trying to stop the ethnic cleansing against the remaining Serb minority and historical sites by the Albanian Kosovo Liberation Army.
This led me to later get a Masters in International Affairs with a focus on the former Soviet Union and Eastern Europe.
I am not going to deny that atrocities did not occur in Bosnia. It occurred on all three sides. But the "genocide" label was an exaggeration. Many of the Bosnians killed in Srebrenica were likely the result of combat. The women and children were allowed to leave and bussed out, that sounds like a poor way to conduct genocide. Were there executions yes. How many, hard to say. "Genocide", no.
