It's highly probable that Ukraine won't reclaim all its territory, but there is a non zero chance.
When people talk about this topic, I never really know what they mean.
Ukraine is absolutely not going to retake the part of the Donbas that Russia took in 2014. It would have been very difficult in 2021, but it's really impossible now. The cities of Luhansk and Donetsk have become thoroughly Russified. And there are now many thousands of people there who have lost loved ones in the conflict, as the DPR and LPR forces lost massive numbers early in the conflict, and those people hate Ukraine with a passion.
Let's be clear: Ukraine doesn't want them back, even though Zelensky might not say that directly.
I also don't know if Ukraine would push very hard to get Mariupol back, as it's a destroyed mess that will never resemble the Ukrainian city it was.
But Ukraine won't stop fighting until it gets back the rest of the territory that they lost in 2022. I don't think that there's a deal that could happen in the next three years that involves Ukraine ceding Melitopol and Berdyansk to Russia.
And Crimea.is the key question.

Anyone bitching about Zelensky being in office and elections suspended T war but accept that Putin won a fair election in Russia is laughable. The man literally killed all his competitors.

FDR and Winston Churchill didn’t cancel their elections during World War fricking II, so no that doesn’t stand up to scrutiny.
FDR did not have 100+K enemy troops on the mainland and the British election during WWII occurred July 1945, months after VE Day.

I remember it well. 25% of the US was occupied by the Axis and FDR won four elections anyway. What a man!!!

Germany owned all the air separation plants and ammonia plants in the USA then WWII came along. How much were they paid for these and the technology to build others which were ALL necessary for the war effort against them?
Now go swim in Trinidad's tar pits

How hard are we talking?
Make 5 different posts about a conversation I had with someone hard?
Or 2-3 posts and counting about how the topography of the region impacts the fighting when everyone else already knew that?

How much of their nations' land was under Axis control for those elections? Do you think Zelensky should ask Putin to set up polling places in Mariupol and Bakhmut? Would you just ignore the millions of Ukrainian refugees in Poland, Romania, etc.?
Oh, and how many billion of US taxpayer dollars do you want to devote to helping Ukraine conduct elections? Because they need the money they have to try to kick Russia out

Sorry, I’m not as smart as you are. I didn’t know the topography around Kharkiv.

I think there is a middle ground here where its pretty convenient that his popularity is shaky and he is cancelling elections with no end date in sight.
It should also be noted that the areas under Russian control weren't the most pro-Zelensky anyway, so he might actually do better in an election right now than he would otherwise?
Seems like we get caught up in the weeds on stuff like this too often in here. Its probably a bit hypocritical to cancel them. Its probably not some grand conspiracy. Lets move on.

Incredible. Tucker now has an actual TV show on Russian state TV channel "Russia 24."
His first show was on this.
EDIT: Russia 24 posted about his show, but Tucker says that he hasn't done it. Let's file this under Russian disinfo.

The legislation upheld Ukraine's constitution. You might want to look up the LACK of elections during II regarding Churchill

Anything happening with the war, or are we just having our multiple times daily dick measuring contest?
