You are absolutely one of the posters clearing rooting for Russia without the courage to actually say it.
There are at least 2 or 3 posters like that in this thread. They rack up the downvotes, but they keep plugging away.

Don't start crying because you can't understand nuanced geopolitical/military issues. Unfortunately, some people still view the world like they did in 3rd grade.

Saw on Twitter that a Russian amphibious fleet just left for Crimea presumably headed towards Odessa

Stop acting like you are talking nuanced geopolitical military issues when you are really just spewing far right/extremist talking points you get from talk radio while rooting for a clear aggressor in a brutal invasion. I’m a solid conservative but people like you make me sick .

What do people think Bezos, Zuckerburg, Musk, Waltons, etc would be called if they were based in Russia?
The difference is our guys aren’t murderous thugs. They’re assholes no doubt but you don’t have to worry about “accidentally” falling out of a hotel window for insulting them.

Just saw the massive explosion that rocked Kyiv 2 hours ago. Mushroom-like cloud but obviously a conventional explosion or an oil depot. Still scary. Almost 2020 Beirut explosion like.
Got me thinking. Since a nuclear test above ground has never been done in the age of digital cameras, how would a nuke look on a camera? (Assuming the phone wasn’t fried by an EMP.) Would it not overexposed the sensors on the camera and blow it out?

The air raid siren is going off in Kyiv right now. 4:30am.

You don't even read what I post. In fact, I'm not sure you even know how to read.

I think you mean Telegram or Truth Social. Not sure they allow that kind of stuff on the airwaves.

Because I don't agree with everything he said.
Hell, look at how people freaked when you said a civilian tossing a molotov cocktail at soldiers is an enemy combatant.

Not sure if this has been posted. But it includes a map of where Russia has attacked, etc, etc.

I hope we don't find out anytime soon.

True that. Still a head scratcher to ponder.
All that footage of tests from the 50s were done on conventional film. So the initial blast would essentially bleach out that one frame of film but the next frame of film would pick up the mushroom cloud as it ascended.
Digital cameras use sensors that send data to a hard drive and computer that assembles the image. But if the blast of light (and X-rays) blow out the sensors (by essentially being brighter than anything they were ever rated for) would the camera be able to continue to record images?
Agains assuming that the camera was far enough away to not be damaged by the fireball and blast.

The non sequiturs are strong with this one.

And notice none of them have cared enough about vote tallies to down vote you over it.
Some of us just don’t take everything at face value, whether questioning accuracy or questioning motive/meaning so they can better understand.
Now the 1-2 posters to outright literally type support for Russia are on their own.

So here’s what really bothers be about this entire thing. We’ve spent the better part of 20 years interdicting ourselves into conflict after conflict throughout the Middle East, often on the weakest of reasons. We’ve toppled regimes, and also attempted regime change based on our so called interests…. However, (and this is what really rubs me the wrong way) with this situation we are suddenly very hands off. We can’t get involved and there is an endless number of reasons why. Why couldn’t this reasoning be applied to the conflicts of the last 20 years? Why are we so willing to sacrifice men and treasure for a bunch of third world shitholes, but suddenly find restraint when Russia attacks a country like Ukraine? I just feel like if Ukraine was a middle eastern hell hole, we and the rest of the world would be tripping over our collective dicks to stop the invasion.
I’m not advocating for sending Americans off to fight Russians in Ukraine, but hypothetically if you lined all of the conflicts up over the last 20 years and said pick the one that most serves our interests, how would this one stack up?
