You've still failed to explain how Ukraine falling to Russia affects the United States.

That's the fundamental stumbling block of all you Slava Ukraine!!! fanboys. Not one of you can tell us why we are duty bound to empty our national coffers to support Ukraine when Western Europe can afford to do it themselves.

I've got a 75 year long example of Ukraine being a part of Russia/USSR and it not affecting us negatively. In fact, that time period was one of unparalleled American prosperity. That is irrefutable.

I missed where America has ICBMs targeted at American population centers.

Russia has nuclear icbms, right now, targeted at American cities; probably one of which you currently reside.

Yet, their head of state seems less of a threat to you than a 81 year old geriatric.

You seem old enough to remember the origin of “Swedes are cucks” meme. There was that video of a blonde Swedish girl singing their national anthem getting railed by a black immigrant. Thats you. You’re the Swedish girl getting railed by Russian dick.

Our honor is at stake. We promised to defend Ukraine’s sovereignty, if we break our word why would anyone trust us?

Plus letting Russia walk in Ukraine and us doing nothing gives Russia the notion that they could do it again somewhere else. If that somewhere else is a NATO nation then it’s all out war.

China once again doing what they do best, copy the United States military. This is their version of the Apache. I guess it’s easier to spy and copy than create one yourself.

EXACTLY. I’m all for this war ending and it’s going to end with a compromise but we would look so weak to the rest of the world and it would make Russia, China, Iran and North Korea look like they can do whatever they please and no one will do shite. We entered this conflict for better or worse so now we have to see it through. It’s been time to remake our current military for several years now so a lot of the hardware we can send them will be things that just are in storage or will be soon headed for it but they still have a substantial amount of equipment. They need artillery shells, drones and anti air ammunition more than they need armored vehicles.

On another note, Russia lost another Su-34 today so obviously there’s a Patriot launcher still hidden out on the front somewhere. That’s 3 Su-34 and 1 Su-35 in 72 hours.

Isn’t this the argument that got us into Vietnam? (I’m willing to bet that a good many of the Ukraine supporters have posted in other threads how we had no business getting involved in Vietnam)

Russia is bogged down in Ukraine. Their military is wrecked for at least a decade. They’re not going to “walk in” anywhere.

Once again, no one has stated why we need to dump hundreds of billions of our Treasury into a regional conflict when Western Europe has the manpower, resources, economy and technological base to handle it themselves.

And your own country is on the line during this same period of time. I'm guessing you'll be here larping for Zelenskyyyy instead of ensuring that America is saved.

It’s not.
Vietnam was during the Cold War. Commies were anchored in Eastern Europe stopped by the NATO alliance. SE Asia was vulnerable. First Korea then Vietnam.
The idea was to actively get involved as we did in Korea to stop the Communusts.

Because the West supported Ukraine with arms and aid. If the West hadn’t helped then we’d see a different result.

I did, you just disagree; besides how many dollars (hard cash) have we sent? It isn’t hundreds of billions of dollars.

And Europe is providing as much aid as we are. We just have way more to give.

And even by your account our aid is helping wear down Russia and tame the bear.

I've seen the Tucker crowd described as the "woke Right," and that's the perfect way to describe them.

The whole idea of "woke" was being aware of frames of reference that the hoi polloi simply did not grasp.

Tucker is just working a long con. He's smart enough and been around long enough to see through the Russian bullshittery. He's repeating their propaganda because he thinks it benefits him somehow.

The good news is that the American public still overwhelmingly supports Ukraine, including a strong majority of Republicans.

quote:

Two years on from Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, 74% of Americans view the war there as important to U.S. national interests – with 43% describing it as very important.

Similar shares see the war between Israel and Hamas (75%) and tensions between China and Taiwan (75%) as important to U.S. national interests, according to a Pew Research Center survey conducted Jan. 22-28.

When asked how important each conflict is to them personally, 59% of Americans say the war between Russia and Ukraine is important to them.
quote:

Democrats and Democratic-leaning independents are more likely than Republicans and Republican leaners to see the Russia-Ukraine war as important to U.S. national interests (81% vs. 69%).

Per the Ukrainians they lost 850 who were either killed or captured trying to retreat. The Russians said they inflicted 1500 casualties in the last day of major fighting.

As previously mentioned.. we have obligated ourselves to provide assistance.. so there is that..

but also..

When do you think it is better to deal with a cancer, when it is small and/or not spreading.. or after it has metastasized ..

IMO we should have jumped into earlier and more decisively with aid and support.. but that ship has sailed.

If you sit back and do nothing and Russia takes Ukraine, that puts Poland right on the boarder with Russia.. that is a bit like storing your gasoline next to your furnace...

Doing nothing now is kinda like how our politicians deal with our national debt... kicking the problem down the road while it get worse...
