The fact that the Russians waited until daybreak to kick off the bulk of their offensive indicates they still have limited night fighting capability. Apparently no attempt at a decapitation strike on the Ukraine government. No SF/airborne assaults on strategic targets that we know of. The rumored amphibious operations appear to be just rumors at this time. Either Russian objectives are fairly limited or their military is much less capable than generally believed.

I'm making no predictions but I would not be surprised if the initial attacks don't lead to immediate breakthroughs and the Russians are finding the going a lot tougher than they expected.
