British Defence Intelligence
INTELLIGENCE UPDATE
UPDATE ON UKRAINE 15 September 2023
In the early hours of 13 September 2023, multiple missiles struck the Sevmorzavod shipyard within Russia's Black Sea Fleet (BSF) Sevastopol naval base. The landing ship Minsk and Kilo 636.3 class submarine Rostov-na-Donu were hit while undergoing maintenance in dry docks.
Despite the Russian Ministry of Defence downplaying the damage to the vessels, open-source evidence indicates the Minsk has almost certainly been functionally destroyed, while the Rostov has likely suffered catastrophic damage. Any effort to return the submarine to service is likely to take many years and cost hundreds of millions of dollars.
There is a realistic possibility that the complex task of removing the wreckage from the dry docks will place them out of use for many months. This would present the BSF with a significant challenge in sustaining fleet maintenance. The loss of the Rostov removes one of the BSF's four cruise-missile capable submarines which have played a major role in striking Ukraine and projecting Russian power across the Black Sea and Eastern Mediterranean.

All russian ships leave port of Yevpatoria after destruction of air defense – Atesh
After the destruction of the russian anti-aircraft system, Triumph, near Yevpatoria in the occupied Crimea, all ships left the port.
This was reported by the partisan movement Atesh.
"Our source told us about what is happening in the city. After today's attack on the ruscist anti-aircraft defense near Yevpatoria, all the ships have floated away; the seaport is empty. People are in a panicked mood; now everyone is waiting for constant arrivals because the anti-aircraft defense is no longer there," the statement says.

I saw a pretty good picture of all the ships Russian had in the area with X's through the ones that had been destroyed. Pretty good representation of the situation. I can't find it again, or I would post it.

That is not going to happen just as we were not going to allow Russian missiles in Cuba, right or wrong that is just the way it is and we would be doing the same thing they are were we in their position.
How about we find a grown up solution that does not funnel US tax dollars to the most corrupt country on earth?

That picture was posted here Wednesday night. Yes, it's pretty cool.

That is an absolutely laughable false equivalency you tried to pass off there. America not wanting Russia putting missiles in Cuba is not the same as Russia wanting Ukrainian territory because it is next door. Secondly while Ukraine has its share of corruption Russia is exponentially more corrupt

Eh, it kinda is. I don’t think most realize how close the US was to an outright invasion of Cuba back in ‘62.

It may be just me, but I fail to see how the current state of things benefits Russia. Every day they are losing personnel, materiel, and it's costing a fortune.
Every day this seems to stretch Russia a little more.

At this point I think what they’re hoping for is a stalemate like the one that existed in the Donbas from 2014/2022.
It’s likely to happen in my opinion. The Ukrainian counteroffensive has been a failure so far and I don’t see it going much further this year.
Posted on 9/15/23 at 9:15 am to GeauxxxTigers23
That wasn’t the point.
The point was that Russia was putting SRBM and MRBMs in Cuba and Ukraine is just existing.

It’s exactly the point from Putin’s point of view. It may not make sense to us but the parallels are there.
Either way it’s a moot point, Russia isn’t just going to turn around and leave Ukraine and Ukraine doesn’t seem to be capable of kicking them out.

just the way it is and we would be doing the same thing they are were we in their position.
We would in no way shape or form be invading mexico or canada if they were interested in joining BRICS or some kind of military alliance with China or Russia
And to add, this type of logic is hilarious because we would never give these countries a reason to do so
Meanwhile, 75% of former Soviet and Warsaw pact states have done everything they can to join the EU and NATO
Hmmm

That’s just because the west is using bio-psychological manipulation with vaccines to influence their decisions

Then Russia has chosen endless war and there's nothing we can do to stop it, except help in their defeat. Ukrainians don't want to submit to Russian rule. That demonstrates that the only party in this situation who has CHOSEN to have a war is Russia.
