if Ukraine in some way hits the Russians from behind
While this would be awesome, I can't think of any possible way that this would happen.

Media: Rheinmetall purchases 50 Leopard 1 tanks, will supply 30 to Ukraine
by Martin Fornusek and The Kyiv Independent news desk August 8, 2023 11:39 PM
The German arms manufacturer Rheinmetall was identified as the previously unknown buyer who recently purchased 50 Leopard 1 tanks from the Belgian company OIP Land Systems, the Handelsblatt newspaper reported on Aug. 8.
The company purchased the tanks as part of its future exports of armored vehicles to Kyiv. The vehicles will be refitted in Germany, and around 30 of them will be delivered to Ukraine, Handelsblatt said, citing industry sources.

Made me want to check some things in the twitterverse.

1. New Dnipro River thread/Kozachi Laheri landings.
Russian TG channels report today that UAF landed at Kozachi Laheri with ongoing fighting.
Some inform on UAF 'presence' west of the village. LINK gives a specific location at 46.707197, 32.946664.
2. Dnipro River thread/Kozachi Laheri.Russian blogger Rybar reports today:
At night, 7 UAF boats landed up to 7 groups of 6-7 men after launching a smoke screen west of the village and struck from the flank.
I have seen imagery of the destruction of a Russian AFV vehicle approx 2.7km west of the village at spot where Rybar marks with a gun symbol. Exact timing of destruction unclear. The source and the imagery itself can't be released for now.

This is interesting. About 3 hours ago a Russian channel shared a video which shows a military commander (that identifies himself as major Tomov from batallion 1822) interrogating Ukrainian soldiers, allegedly captured near Kozachi Laheri (in the video he refers to 'under Nova Kakhovka').
An hour after this video was shared, Egor Guzenko (alias Egor Kazak), a former Russian VDV soldier and miliblogger under his callsign 'Thirteenth' who joined the DPR ranks and is fighting in the area, claims this video is old, while adding in an additional post that a recon group of 16 men under the command of this particular major Tomov didn't reach a control point near Kozachi Laheri and dissapeared. In a video he says he surely doesn't believe that the commander would first upload a video and send it to Russian channels instead of informing his unit. He adds that until now, nobody from the group of 16 got in touch.
Guzenko hasn't posted a new update about major Tomov's whereabouts.

Holy shite, we're back to informative posts about the war. Maybe if we all, as a unit, ignore the fricking trolls, then we can keep this shite on track. Let's maybe give it a shot.

Write your version.
Other possibilities ranked from most likely to least likely in my opinion.
1)Launched from small Ukrainian naval vessels or small repurposed Ukrainian civilian vessels.
2)Range has been extended.
3)Range was longer than initially reported by the media.
4)Launched by special forces in occupied areas.
5)Launched by partisans in occupied areas.

The link shows how the oil storage is burning and repeated explosions are heard. The comment from the locals sounds like "the authorities say
ALLEGEDLY two fuel trucks exploded." Watch with sound.
If there were two fuel trucks and they are burning, two smokes are visible, then why are there five more explosions. It's not like exploding gas tanks. Otherwise there would be an increase in smoke and flame.
There are actually six distinct explosions in the video and the distance is too far to be able to tell what is exploding or burning beyond guesswork.
Most importantly the link is to a post from September last year and is reportedly of the village of Saf'yany which is 10km to the north of Izmail Port and has nothing to do with the attacks last week so does not support your claim.

Such deep mining is very difficult to overcome especially when it can be refreshed by artillery.
The flip side of that is that if Ukraine in some way hits the Russians from behind, those deep minefields have the defenders trapped also.
What’s ironic is how some have loudly criticized Ukraine for using cluster bombs because of the potential to harm civilians after hostilities, but I don’t hear the same crowd damming Russia for the plethora of land mines they have used which undoubtedly will harm civilians sooner or later.

Probably Americans with an average IQ of greater. Americans with common sense. Americans who understand how important it is for America to honor commitments and maintain a strong foreign policy.

Here you are a graphomaniac!
I have been called far worse. I assume you mean I am overly interested in pictures authenticity? In regards to their use to support or undermine opinion, yes I am.

And if the graphic editor for working with images is not called Photoshop?
For example Corel Draw, GIMP.
Paint.NET.
pixlr.
Pixel X.
PhotoScapeX.
Fotor.
Photos Pos Pro.
.....
Yes there are many different programs you can use to change a photo, I was using "photoshop" as a term for any graphic editor for changing images. Fotoforensics does not indicate the program used, it just indicates if changes have been made by any program.

Didn't you write about image generation using artificial intelligence?
Yes and I acknowledge that there is a possibility the image was generated by AI.
However, I consider it very unlikely that back in April 2021 an AI image was created to paint Utkin as a Nazi and link him to Wagner in case Russia invaded Ukraine and Wagner would be so prominent as part of that they would become important enough to become a propaganda target.
If the original image was from the last 12-18 months then I would say the likely hood was much higher, but it is not.

.... the main idea in my post is that I do not believe in the very possibility of tattoos by the SS PMC Wagner, otherwise the image can be corrected in many graphic editors. like in photoshop.
Yes and the main point in my first reply was that the tattoos you said must be added to the image were in fact part of the original image, they were not added later.
Apologies for the continued replies to the rest of the thread, in the my previous reply especially the use of a nearly year old link was too glaring to ignore. I'll go dig up some military stuff now, assuming it had not already been brought by others.

What strong foreign policy is that? All of our fancy weapons can’t push Russia out of Ukraine, we’re losing all of our I fluency in West Africa. Most of central and South America would just as soon do business with and ally with China as the would us.

This is an awful take. Oh, and the US has sent tens of thousands of mines to Ukraine

They should prove it and go help out Ukraine. I mean they’re right next door.
And what makes the poles so vicious? I’m pretty sure if you read a history of Poland 75% of the book would be about them getting conquered over and over again by everyone in Europe.

I have wondered recently if we will see a form of undermining similar to that seen in WWI in an attempt to make a breach or rear area breakthrough.
While the practicality of such an effort is highly questionable due to a long list of cons and the distances between lines are much larger there is the addition of modern tech (including drones) and mining (the digging type) techniques.
Even if nothing more than a wild thought, the idea of the defensive lines being breached by "shovels" appeals to me in the ironic sense given several of the comments made regarding both sides and their use of them.

Let Russia or Belarus do something stupid in Polish territory and you'll find out just how vicious they are.

Well first that’s like being the tallest elf at the North Pole. And second, the French have the best trained army in Europe. The Turks are probably the most powerful overall though.

Just want to point out that you are advocating for Poland to invade Ukraine as Ukraine is not requesting foreign troops on their soil. Think that's a relevant point to consider in that hypothetical

Well they need help. They clearly can’t beat Russia by themselves.
