Wow. That says a whole lot about how this is going for them.

Yeah, it says that Russian bombing of civilians has caused vast numbers of Ukrainian women and children to leave Ukraine for safety. The longer the war goes on, the more of them get comfortable in the new countries to which they have fled.

After the war, how many of them might not want to return to a devastated country? If you were from Bakhmut, would you want to come back to Ukraine? When the war ends, Ukraine will need to jumpstart its economy, but how will they do that if people don't come back?

Ukraine won't really ban Ukrainian men from leaving for 3 years, but the concern is understandable.

Russia has done the same thing for military age men. It’s a war of attrition at his point. Neither can sustain it much longer and the current battle lines will probably not move much more.

Yet the Putin apologists say it’s Ukraine’s fault peace talks weren’t profitable.

It’s obvious to any objective person following events to know that Russia had no intentions of following the Budapest Memorandum and that they believe all of Ukraine is theirs to take. Might makes right; thus it’s right for them to take take take.

Your link says Russia has banned conscripts from leaving, not all military aged men.

So why did Russia initially invade several other Oblasts in 2022 only to be thrown back?

France sent a new batch of SCALP/Storm Shadow missiles with these having a range of about 180 miles versus the 150 miles from previous Storm Shadows sent.

Sure he did. They say whatever they need to say to reinvent themselves.

The notion that all they wanted was the four Oblasts is BS. They can say something else now, but you can’t trust them.
