The first photo of a Swedish CV9040C infantry fighting vehicle already on Ukrainian soil.

About 50 of these armored vehicles with 40mm autocannons and with Barracuda Mobile Camouflage System designed to reduce thermal signature were donated to the Ukrainian army by Sweden.

Seeing some rumblings that the action/pace has picked back up. May just be BS, so no links yet.

All that needs to be said.

US senators to launch bill to seize and transfer Russian assets to Ukraine

This seems to be a counter move or at least a tit for tat by either side based on the article I posted earlier where Russia is planning to seize assets of "naughty businesses" and Russia just got it out first.

Great thread on the state of Russian fortifications by Mark Krutov based on a Radio Liberty article whom he is affiliated with. I won't post quotes of either as they are both quite long but the general gist is that Russians continue to selfie themselves in locations they should not. Despite this the fortifications can and will pose a significant obstacle to Ukraine to overcome.

Thread.

Ukrainians seem to be launching a night attack in Nova Kakhovka. Not sure of the size or scope.

Nice catch. Based on the video in the thread below it sounds like there is, though no geolocation at this point - it's possible the video maker says something about the location but Ican't translate unforts.

Gunfire is heard in Nova Kakhovka, occupied Kherson region. Also intense artillery is reported since an half an hour ago.

I said earlier today that Birds of Magyar was Ukraine's finest drone unit, and I won't back down from that, but the White Wolves are very close. They seem to specialize in night attacks from a giant octocopter. I think there was one night in Bakhmut where they took out ten tanks that way.

Here's their latest Telegram post, with a great video. I like how they always advertise for volunteers to join them, "if your skills are good enough."

quote:

Our soldiers left after their lightning attack only burnt Russian equipment, broken fortifications and "good Russians".

The list of enemy casualties was supplemented by:

?? 7 tanks
?? 2 howitzers "D-30"
?? MT-12 "Rapira"
?? enemy ATGM calculation
?? automotive equipment
?? about 10 occupants

Though I'm one who was hoping for a thunder run like last fall. Let's face it, Ukrainians have only had very basic training in tactics at small unit levels.

If it were the US military, Moscow would have been taken already easier than taking Baghdad.

the thunder run didn’t happen until weeks into it.

Russia also has built up a ton of defensive fortifications that will take time to navigate even if they weren’t actively defended.

Just have to wait and watch

Not even close, Russia would be all in were the US a threat of invading the motherland, there is no threat to Russia on the table at this point and they are acting accordingly.

I mean, that is not really fair nor realistic (I do enjoy your posts in general though, you often say stuff that other people are not; not sure what your background is). I am trying to stay very cautiously optimistic, but things seem to be moving along as I would suspect (merely based on common sense and a very rudimentary understanding of the complexities of war - no armed service background). So, whatever that is worth. I definitely grasp that conditions need to be set, and I would imagine that would take time even for our Army. Logistics are a nightmare. Covid taught me that in my industry. One wrong fart, and everything is fricked.
