Damned if I know but I believe that Biden's Administrator of Nuclear Waster calls himself a "Pup Handler" so I take it from there.

Kind of unrelated, at the end of the Crimean War, the son of the Tsar stated,
quote:

We cannot deceive ourselves any longer; we must say that we are both weaker and poorer than the first-class powers, and furthermore poorer not only in material terms but in mental resources, especially in matters of administration.

History really does repeat itself.

Whether it be WW1, WW2 or anytime since then, it is amazing how Russia has never improved or learned from its prior shortcomings.

Anyone with any knowledge knew that Russia was a paper tiger and only a threat to its immediate geographic area but just how bad they are has shocked just about everyone.

The CIA/USM has been putting in some serious work since Crimea but no one thought Ukraine would do what it is doing now. And that is overwhelming due to just how bad the Russian military is.

Either Putin isn't as smart as most gave him credit for or the more likely scenario is that he has been and continues to be lied to about the readiness and capabilities of the military. One and probably the only area Putin commanded no corruption in and put forth real effort I to was the military. It is obvious now that his underlings didn't/aren't following that.

Digging trenches on the tourist beaches of Crimea? Incredibly astute use of manpower. Putin remains master strategist.

Three short conversations this morning all saying the same thing: the next offensive will happen in the short term and will involve simultaneous pushes but will be preceded by some “new style signalling/starting gun” stuff. I figure there’s about four people on this board that will know what this means. The melitopol thing is big and is going to cause a rift between Putin and WG someone from the RU is happily feeding the Germans max effect targets specifically about WG. When hundreds are definitively killed in a single strike like in Melitopol it’s impossible to hide for the people in the Kremlin-WG knows they’ve made enemies in the RU/FSB and really to a certain extent GRU. Folks I know are awaiting confirmation that a senior WG was in Melitopol during the time of the strike. Last thing I’m gonna say is that the ancillary stuff is heating up. Traditional enemies of Iran are engaged and this may hasten the end of hostilities.

British Defence Intelligence
UPDATE ON UKRAINE 11 December 2022
INTELLIGENCE UPDATE

On 5 December 2022, President Putin signed the law on Russia's Federal Budget. Draft budgets have stated over 9 trillion rubles (US $143bn) will be allocated across defence, security and law enforcement in 2023. This is a significant increase compared to prior years and will represent over 30 per cent of Russia's entire budget.

The budget approved by Putin is likely over-optimistic in its expectation of revenue and spending in 2023. Therefore, other parts of Russia's budget are likely to come under increasing pressure to support the costs of the war.

If the West quietly starts delivering ATACMS, the next push could be a real land grab.

Boris Johnson just recently had a piece where he suggested that the fastest way to peace would be supporting the UA sufficiently to expel the invaders. If that’s a sign of the growing public opinion, more meaningful help may be on the way.

Interesting. Feels obvious Israel is implicated here, but the language is clearly for multiple. The Saudis as well despite their continued thumb to the eye to Biden over oil? Possible we’d more effectively aid the Saudis in Yemen to frick with Iran and maybe get some relief on oil?

That what we need, more instigating and pushing for war around the world. This max overdrive effort to start WW3 just isn't cutting it.

A long list.

Partially due to their version of the Religion of Peace but mostly due to their ruling government since the overthrow of the Shah insisting on playing checkers (poorly) whilst their neighbors mostly play chess.

The Russians were behind the overthrow which the Mullahs coopted and then took power, though have been somewhat allies since. The Iran-Iraq war was a difficult period for Russia, being a backer of Saddam.

Israel is recent, not traditional. During the time of Shah, sort of an ally
