Im not sure
Russia already threatened nations who intervene with "consequences never before seen".
I think european unity against russia is getting stronger by the day. That may be a surprise to russia.
But it is very "too little too late" if you are ukrainians. Solidarity would have been much better prior to an invasion.

A) Did the US and EU stop buying russia oil?
B) Did they cut them from SWIFT?
C) Have they froze all the oligarchs accounts over seas and taken control of their properties and yachts all over the EU?

Poland is the likely country being referred to in that release. If Russians attack Polish troops on the border, that will trigger a NATO response.

Authority is decided by whoever has the most guns. I imagine the countries that are doing this will lol at a bunch of Russian mobsters showing up with some knee breakers because they have an actual military.

I've seen verified pics and video of Russian tanks and equipment with all sorts of markings. From Z to V to even RUS. There seems to have been very little Russian coordination as to how troops were marking their equipment.
