Russia already is and almost certainly will be a loser as a result of this war.

That's disgusting

What would be more disgusting is if an innocent party (like Ukraine) was the loser of a war started by Russia.

The pope, during wwII, was friends with the bad guys and even served in Germany before being Pope.

The truth is that Russia has already “lost” the war in numerous substantive ways but it is also true that Russia’s annexation of the occupied areas of Kherson, Zap, Donetsk and Luhansk Oblasts (and obviously Crimea) is a fait accompli recognized under Russian law and Russia simply does have the means to enforce the annexation militarily

No, they don’t. Ukraine is proving that. A “fait accompli recognized under Russian law” means absolutely nothing.

quote:

Basically, there will be a negotiated peace after a lot of bloodshed and destruction and Russia will get its land bridge to crimea and Ukraine will get western riches and life will go on.

Only Orcs think that. There is no reason for Ukraine to give up one square centimeter to Russia.

quote:

Xarkov Oblast is historically Russian and will remain under the control of Ukraine indefinitely. That is a huge win for Ukraine and loss for Russia. Odessa is historically a Russian area also that I don’t think Russia will ever get back so that is also a win for Ukraine.

Russia is in a no-win corner. They are trying to take what they want and are being rebuffed. They have alienated the entire world, even China and India. Those two nations are holding their noses amd buying Russian energy at fire sale prices.

Russia will never be the same. They have been exposed as a paper tiger and they will be lucky to hold onto their own borders. China is salivating at the now-very-real opportunity to become dominant in north Asia and Russia can’t do a damned thing about it.

Sucks to be Russia, but they did it to themselves by letting a little psychopath rule them.

The Obama/Biden administration are the ones that pushed it this far. Putin was kinda dumb to let himself be goaded but we wouldn't have a war without the Biden cronies.

America war against Tripoli was due to a drunk Navy captain running the ship a ground and blamed it on Tripoli because he was embarrassed. How do you think they felt . America is the greatest country ever but we have done some dirty underhanded things and yes we are part of the major reason for the war. Can't believe posters in this thread are blind to that.

That's disgusting because there is no winners in war. Unnecessary deaths all because of the Biden administration.

You can disagree with the above but to think we are not part of the cause of the war your an idiot.
Is English not your first language? Two of your 3 sentences are broken English.

Not really the answer to the question. More of did any church in traditional "western" faiths outright support a war recently like the Russian Orthodox Church has in this one.

There is no realistic path for Ukraine to win back the territories now in the hands of Russia. There are going to be a half million Russian troops in the annexed areas by the end of the year. Ukraine might make some gains in the next few weeks but whatever is still under Russian control by this time next month I think it is reasonable to assume will be Russia more or less forever.

Oh which reason are we saying Russia is fighting for today? Nazis? Biolabs? Fighting the globalist? Defense of Russian Speakers? Defense of Ethnic Russians? Making Ukrainians realize that they are actually Russians? NATO? EU expansion?

need supplies and munitions for said troops.... also need to pay said troops....

Russia is having a hard time doing that now with a fraction of those numbers, what is going to change to fix that?

OK I'm done even trying here. Either you are incredibly dumb or did a good troll job. Kudos if the latter.

Putin started getting his ducks in a row when Afghanistan fell. Yes, Biden is partially responsible for Putin invading Ukraine because Biden is simply weak.

If you want to blame the blue team’s weak leadership over Crimea in 2014 and clownish bailing in Afghanistan for this Putin ego trip war disaster, I can get behind that for sure.
