Is it a moral position that Ukranians should fight and die in order to maintain the "international system and liberal world order"? Because that's why we're funding this war.

So your "moral solution" is to have Ukraine voluntarily subjugate itself to an authoritarian dictator?

Ukrainian soldiers and citizens are fighting and dying to maintain Ukraine.

We are helping them because this unprovoked aggression by Russia cannot be a precedent for the world.

I didn’t realize Russia gave up their enormous nuclear Arsenal.
I also thought they were supporters of Iran, and other terrorists. Terrorists who have killed Americans. And yes, they have repeatedly threatened our allies. Allies who have helped us when called upon.

I don't disagree with you. However, my personal belief is that disruption of the "international system and liberal world order"--which is a euphemism for Global American Empire--is a good thing, for everyone, including the people of the United States.

So the US would be better off if more countries invaded their neighbors because they felt like it?

Give me a break. First of all, it shouldn't be our responsibility to be guarantor of world peace which is the fundamental premise of what you're saying. Second of all, the idea that the USA is the guarantor of world peace is a fricking joke--no country on earth has engaged in more unprovoked aggression in this century than we have. What you're really saying is, no countries can engage in unprovoked aggression against other countries unless it's us, or one of our proxies. I don't happen to share that opinion.

The US would not be worse off if countries on the other side of the world invaded their neighbors for any reason. Correct.

Then you would like a world like pre-WWI excrpt this time nations have nukes.

We could just sit on our side of the oceans and let SK and NK Duke it out. Or perhaps India and Pakistan. Maybe Iran and Israel or Russia and England. How about China and Japan?

How could that affect us?

Assuming the US Navy keeps shipping lanes open to keep commerce flowing and assuming nobody attacks our ships, it wouldn't affect us at all.

No way would radiation impact the US. No way would our economy be impacted. And how could our navy keep trade lanes open without getting “involved” if there were nations able to trade with us?

A works without order is what we had in 1914. There was no super power to set things straight. One incident involved numerous nations and eventually the world was at war. Eventually it led to WWII.

And just think if countries had nukes what could happen if we just stayed on the side lines.

Assuming conflict doesn’t interrupt commerce . . . is retarded.

Either be an isolationist or don’t. But if you want commerce to keep flowing you are a card carrying member of Pax America. The world order you want to replace is the most peaceful and prosperous world order we’ve ever seen.

That’s complete horse shite. Ukraine is a sovereign nation state recognition by every country in the world.

Uh we signed a treaty to help defend Ukraine. So yes there is a reason for us to be involved. Go educate yourself.

Understatement. He posted this 7 days ago.

Ukrainian forces advances have completely stalled. Totally exhausted themselves taking back eastern Kharkiv Oblast which Russia didn’t even want to annex. Will never take Lyman. Will never take Kherson. Russia about to formally annex occupied territories. Pee yellow flag of Ukraine will never fly on any of them again. GAE BTFO.

I'm struggling with his basis for this claim. If China claimed to be One Pangea, would everyone else have dubious claims of sovereignty?

Well, an information coup has begun in the Russian information space against the Russian Ministry of Defense - more precisely, its leadership and command on the ground.

In the same row, Ramzan Kadyrov, Yevgeny Prigozhin, channels controlled by Lubyanka, representatives of security officials of all stripes - from the Russian Guard to the RF Armed Forces, State Duma deputies - immigrants from the Russian Ministry of Defense are joining.

There have been similar attempts to stir up society before. But now they are initiated from above.

"But now they are initiated from above." - Putin's found his scapegoat.

It's like HR McMaster said, if they did this their entire Black Sea Fleet would be destroyed in a matter of minutes. Putin knows this.

I am a proud pro-business isolationist. We keep the shipping lanes open. You frick with the shipping lanes, you frick with us. Otherwise, do what you want. That is my position. I understand reasonable minds can disagree about this.

I don't think Putin really cares about the Black Sea Fleet. Besides destroying the Black Sea Fleet would have no effect on the war.
