Are both of these Russian satellites? If so, why would they be fighting?
Yes they are both members of the CIS and the CSTO (Russia’s version of NATO) however there is also ethnic/tribal tension between them.

Yeah, just like every other country over there.

Trump pardoned Bannon most recently. And called Putin a "genius" for his approach to Ukraine.
At the time that Trump said that, Putin did look like a genius. That was during the first day or maybe it was the first week when it looked like Kyiv would fall and Russia would get an easy victory.

Correct. A strong Soviet/Russian presence kept the tensions in check, but now that Russia has withdrawn its troops to send to Ukraine the tensions are rising again. Now Russia has to find a way to send peace keepers to Tazikistan and Kazikistan and send troops to Armenia. Not a good week for Russia on the foreign relations front.

Well it was a stupid thing to say. Trump been quiet lately.

(though it is painful to cede the word “conservative” to the Bannonites).
The Bannonites want an authoritative government headed by a Putinesque figure who is not subject to term limits. They also want him to have more power than Congress and the Supreme Court.
They’re not conservatives in the traditional sense. They don’t like what the American system has produced regarding personal liberty for people who are different to them. Social issues are far more important to them than are economic or military concerns.

I wonder what this will do to downstream pontoon bridges?
If the Ukrainians have enough time before the surge of water hits to disconnect them and secure them to the banks then not much. Because they can just ride out the surge then reassemble once the surge is over. If the water surge hits them and scatters them the pontoons and damages them against rocks and trees then it will have more of an effect.
ETA: The bigger danger IMO is the risk of flooding to the Ukrainian entrenchments. That whole area is historically marsh land that was turned into farm land by dam building projects during the time of the USSR. IF the river rises enough to then the Ukrainians will have to pull back to escape the flooding. Of course the flooding would also prevent any advance by the Russians. The Ukrainians will also not have to pull back so far that they will be out artillery range of the Dnieper river so its unlikely that Russia would be able to take advantage of this and build its own pontoon bridges over the Dnieper to withdraw or reinforce its forces. I really don't see any reason for striking that dam other than to try and flood the city of Kryvyi Rih as part of a terror campaign and because it is Zelensky's hometown.

It looks stupid now, but at the time he said it not so much.
Also when in the flying f**k has the fact that something is stupid ever kept Trump from saying it? Calling it as he sees it without handlers telling him what to say has always been his biggest strength and weakness.

I heard it’s because Azerbaijan must rid Armenia from the Nazi Regime controlling it… and free all ethnic Azerbaijanis living in Armenia from persecution…

At that time I thought that Putin would not invade Ukraine because of how much a blunder that would be for Russia and Putin was too smart to do that. I was wrong on Putin's intelligence and right on what would happen if he did invade Ukraine.

Wrong conflict. We were talking about the reports of border clashes between Kyrgystan and Tajikstan, and not the conflict between Armenia and Azerbaijan. Azerbaijan is not a member of the CSTO.

The Russian-led CSTO will provide an observer mission - but no military aid - after Armenia invoked the alliance's mutual defence clause, Armenia's FM says
Send an observer mission to your ally after your ally has been invaded and envoked its mutual defense clause and requested military assistance. Real strong response there Vlad.

Rumblings that there was an "attack" on Putin's motorcade. Ie, the false flag we all knew was coming.

The Kremlin isn't even trying at this point.

I am pretty sure that the Kazahs are no longer in the Russian sphere of influence. From a friend who was there over a decade ago as part of XOM's managing team, Chinese commercial influence is far more than Russian ties.

What does Kazakstan have to do with a conflict between Kyrgystan and Tajikstan?

That publication doesn't even try to keep its stories accurate. In one of the articles on the page it says:
quote:
The attempt to manage the media aside, Putin’s daughter was recently taken out by a car bomb. That would suggest that Putin and his family are being targeted, the only difference being the level of security that Putin himself enjoys.
I don't recall this ever happening.
That rag isn't really a good source of anything by itself.

The first line of the article basically tells you the story is published rumor, but not bothering to distinguish Dugin from Putin is pretty funny.

Xi with a pretty strong message today that the sovereignty of Kazakhstan is not to be messed with. Hopefully NATO will consider this message before it invades yet another country.
“After meeting President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev in Kazakhstan’s capital, Xi made it clear that Beijing would not tolerate any encroachments on Kazakhstan’s territory.
“I would like to assure you that the government of China pays huge attention to relations with Kazakhstan,” he said, in remarks quoted in Russian in Tokayev’s office’s readout of the meeting.
“However the international situation changes, going forward we will also resolutely support Kazakhstan in the defense of its independence, sovereignty and territorial integrity; firmly support the reforms conducted by you to assure stability and development; [and] categorically come out against interference by any forces in the internal affairs of your country.”
