The US has better relations with Kazakhstan, but China is their cash flow for natural gas. There has been strong commercial ties with Chinese companies for years.
They have lessened ties with Russia this year.
Also, lots of Russian capital has left Russia and started companies in Kazakhstan since February. I am fairly certain some are Putin supporters and some are not fan boys.

Every time I see that Borisoglebsk-2 electronic warfare system posted I keep thinking how being Russian it probably leaks out of the UHF range and emits microwaves, slowly cooking the crew and anyone in the vicinity.

They’re not conservatives in the traditional sense. They don’t like what the American system has produced regarding personal liberty for people who are different to them. Social issues are far more important to them than are economic or military concerns.
Yeah they and the democrats have evolved to these tyrannical tendencies in the last ten years. I never thought it would happen.

Odd, isn’t it, that they’ve both gotten so crazy that they seem a lot alike?

I mostly blame 24 hour cable news and just the constant news cycle of tv and internet and social media for all of this.
It has caused politics and the garbage culture wars that consume the 24 hour news cycle content to be become some people’s North Star. My own parents have had Fox News on their kitchen tV nearly non-stop for 20 years, and at this point it’s just habit. But tragically, that background noise has permeated and almost no matter the conversation topic, they will eventually orient the conversation around some moronic political narrative.
And the constant news cycle also requires the other side to not just be wrong or misguided but evil and nefarious. And when the other side is evil and nefarious it’s natural to say screw process and representative government this is total war and we most win!!

Have we gotten pictures of all these Troops that surrendered?
10k is a lot and I would imagine Zelensky would be getting a Mag cover shot with that many captured
Anyone able to get conformation?
The number so far is well below that BUT the photographic proof you are asking for should not be available even if it were 20k. Massing or marching POWs for photo ops is right on the line of a war crime depending on how this "war" is categorized. War correspondents taking candid shots do not fall under the "rules" but they rarely show large numbers.

On the other hand, maybe partisans on both sides have largely hated everything long before the 24 hour news cycle.

Top 2 winners in the Russian death spiral (self induced) are Poland and Turkey. Fun to watch.
Poland is soon going to be the most powerful land army in Europe.

Rumblings that there was an "attack" on Putin's motorcade. Ie, the false flag we all knew was coming.
IF he is sick and if he were to die I wonder what the chances of them putting his body in a car and blowing it up. An assassination would galvanize a big part of the Russian population.

Xi with a pretty strong message today that the sovereignty of Kazakhstan is not to be messed with. Hopefully NATO will consider this message before it invades yet another country.
“After meeting President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev in Kazakhstan’s capital, Xi made it clear that Beijing would not tolerate any encroachments on Kazakhstan’s territory.
“I would like to assure you that the government of China pays huge attention to relations with Kazakhstan,” he said, in remarks quoted in Russian in Tokayev’s office’s readout of the meeting.
“However the international situation changes, going forward we will also resolutely support Kazakhstan in the defense of its independence, sovereignty and territorial integrity; firmly support the reforms conducted by you to assure stability and development; [and] categorically come out against interference by any forces in the internal affairs of your country.”
Interesting Xi is telling Putin to back tf off here. I suspect the other two regional conflicts are going to intensify with, but not because of this statement.

With their history, I’m happy for them. Also good for us, NATO, and EU stability post war.

Agreed, fortunately, Poland has that balance that is sometimes hard to find in a country with a powerful military: they aren't trigger-happy but they also aren't running from a fight. They also are pretty good at it.

They’re a frick around and find out nation, I think. They’ve got an identify and a unity. Strong military that’s about to get a lot more capable with significant equipment upgrades and increasing manpower. A close friendship between they and a rebuilt Ukraine would surprise a lot of people at how much they’re capable of I think. They can anchor an eastern bloc to counter the nut jobs and pacifists in Western Europe, while standing strong to Russia.

Is NATO invading someone?
Posted on 9/14/22 at 7:11 pm to Obtuse1
That wouldn't be too surprising. He said that he wouldn't invade if Ukraine dropped trying to join NATO. They dropped it and days later he invaded anyway. You can't believe a thing he says.
