Catholics are, after all, the original Christians.

How can catholics consider protestants to be worshippers of a bastardized version of the Faith, when the argument of worshipping a bastardized version of the Fatih could just as easily apply to the catholic church as any of the protestant churches? The orthodox church started in the primarily Greek speaking regions of the Roman Empire including the Holy Land and the New Testament was originally written in Koine Greek. So if any version of Christianity is the "true version" of Christianity then it would be the Orthodox church.

Not trying to start a religious since I know that is against the rules. I am just calling out the catholics for their hypocrisy.

Because….. The Pope.

Ok, back to Ukraine. What’s the latest with Kherson? I heard there were some Russian units on the north/west side of the river that were negotiating surrender. Any other movement there?

The Pope is a south american socialist who wears a funny hat and shits in the woods without wiping his arse. (sarcasm)

The Ukrainians pushed the Russian lines another 12 km back in the northwest portion of the front. Some units are negotiating a surrender. However, if units surrender without permission from their generals then they are considered to be deserters which could cause problems for their families and cause them to be imprisoned after the war. However, if individual soldiers surrender during combat then they are considered to be POWs and their families would not be messed with and they would not face imprisonment after the war. So I suspect that there will be a large number of small skirmishes which result in a lot of POWs being taken.

Eastern #Ukraine Update:

Social media footage shows lines of cars stretching for kilometers near Schastia and Stanysia Luhanska, which are both along the border of long-held LNR territory and close to the #Russian border.

Upon this rock I shall build my Church. Thus whoever is selected to take Peter's place is the pope or titular descendent of Peter.

I'm more libertarianish on this matter. My partner in large deals is usually a Baptist. Interesting that there are a shitton of execs and billionaires in Houston who are Baptist. That included Ken Lay of Enron.

As far as old sects, Maronites can cross over to Catholicism easy peasy as can Greek, Russian or other Orthodox members, as well as the Copts. A few Greek Orthodox priests converted to Catholicism and because they were already married became Catholic priests with wives. 100% legit priests.

Strange times the last 40+ years.

A number of Maronites from Syria/Lebanon who immigrated to the US 100 years ago were split between becoming Episcopalians and Catholics. One became the Episcopal Bishop of I think half of Louisiana which included Alexandria, Laffy and Lake Chuck. His sons all became backroom gamblers and grocery store owners.

That is a great illustration that your group can hold your 100 mile long border just great, but it there is a breakthrough 101 miles away....you are either going to have to eventually retreat or be surrounded.

British Defence Intelligence
UPDATE ON UKRAINE 13 September 2022
INTELLIGENCE UPDATE

Elements of the Russian forces withdrawn from Kharkiv Oblast over the last week were from the 1st Guards Tank Army (1 GTA), which are subordinate to the Western Military District (WEMD). 1 GTA suffered heavy casualties in the initial phase of the invasion and had not been fully reconstituted prior to the Ukrainian counter-offensive in Kharkiv.

1GTA had been one of the most prestigious of Russia's armies, allocated for the defence of Moscow, and intended to lead counter-attacks in the case of a war with NATO.

With 1 GTA and other WEMD formations severely degraded, Russia's conventional force designed to counter NATO is severely weakened. It will likely take years for Russia to rebuild this capability.

Reznikov explains why counteroffensive in Kherson Oblast progresses more slowly
Olena Roshchina — Tuesday, 13 September 2022, 11:45

Ukraine’s Defence Minister Oleksii Reznikov explained that the Ukrainian counteroffensive in Kherson Oblast is progressing more slowly than in Kharkiv Oblast, saying that Kherson Oblast is an agricultural region.

Source: Oleksii Reznikov, in the comments to "Financial Times"

Details: According to the Minister, in Kharkiv Oblast, the counteroffensive was like a "snowball", and it passed significantly "better than expected".

Reznikov said that the almost simultaneous counteroffensive around Kherson is progressing more slowly since it is an agricultural region "with irrigation channels" that the Russians can use as defensive trenches.

Reznikov also said that Chechens are being used in southern Ukraine to prevent frontline troops from leaving their positions.
