suspect it'll be the 5 or so smaller banks that first faced sanctions in this - ties directly to Putin and the inner circle. Will be shocked if this includes VTB and Sberbank due to the global financial implications of cutting them off.

I’ve lived in these places, crazy. I know what these people think and what is going on over there. This isn’t just me LARPing. Everyone who has lived extensively in a communist country is panicking at this point. We know where this ends. We are not lying to you or trying to manipulate you. We are in a world of shite, and we have to address it right now for the sake of our children.

Please talk to someone who has lived under communism. There’s a reason the Ukrainians are literally fighting to the death because they realize that dying to defeat communism is better than living under it.

It looks like it's popping off now.

For the first time, it looks like all of the lights have been turned off in Kyiv.

That poster has catastrophe syndrome like I’ve never seen, but he’s not wrong about the impact China taking Taiwan would have on the US. Taiwan holds the key to last manufactured product the US needs to function as a society. Let this fall into the hands of the Chinese and things will get bad very quickly.

There are just things you can’t unsee, my friend, and know you have to warn everyone even if they think you’re a crazy person. None of my liberal friends are saying shite to me now and are awfully quiet politically when I hang out with them these days. Anyone who has lived under communism knows they can not be silent.

I can assure you I’ve listened to plenty of discussions about the horrors of communism and the current CCP from colleagues and friends. And still, that is beside the point, because I’m sure I could find evidence of your hysteria with regard to non-political stuff.

Communism in its old form is effectively dead, including in China. You’re right, I misspoke but tried to put it in the vernacular that the average person can understand without being educated in the subject. We are under threat of fascism. China is no longer communist, but fascist. Mussolini properly defined it:

quote:

Fascism should more properly be called corporatism because it is the merger of state and corporate power.

That adequately describes China. While I agree with Mussolini’s definition, I’d like to add a little caveat to truly properly define it:

quote:

Fascism should more properly be called corporatism because it is the merger of state and corporate power to the detriment or destruction of the individual.

Not sure about this blue check guy...so take it with a grain of salt...

Senior State Department official tells me: “Russia has badly mismanaged the planning for this operation. Their logistics trains are poorly organized, morale is bad, and they are totally unprepared for urban warfare in Ukrainian cities. They have many advantages over Ukraine in terms of numbers of forces and equipment but they’re playing their hand badly and have sustained high casualties. The Ukrainians are determined to defend their homeland.”
