Has there been any estimate about the size of Ukrainian’s forces in the Izyum region? I would hope they are at least a corps in size. They haven’t massed a lot guys this entire war but this is the time to do it while you have them on their heels pulling back. Ukraine keeps their actual battle ready forces very close to the vest. My sauce(s) say that Ukraine has deployed 50,000 troops to the Kherson offensive, 30,000 south of Izyum, and 75,000 troops to the Kherson offensive. It has been a core of about 15,000 veteran troops and 200 tanks that has lead the offensive this week, but the other 60,000 are flowing into the area and expanding the break through. Ukraine also has another 100,000 troops still sitting around Dnipro ready to be deployed where needed. Meanwhile, Russia only has about 10,000 - 15,000 troops and less than 50 tanks in the Izyum area. So the Russians are outnumbered almost 6 to 1 in the Kharkiv offensive which is why their lines are collapsing. Plus Ukraine has achieved control of the air over the offensive area.

I thought Russia tried that but it didn’t work out well for them. All BS aside, outside of nuclear weapons, Russia is a paper tiger and now the world knows it.
