We've all seen a a lot of posters change over the years. Watching OML descend into what he has become is sad.

Sharing because I came across it:

Sounds oddly like the build up to Putin’s “special operation”, at least someone thinks it’s setting up that way.

I guess the Chinese have no concern about our subs and the Japanese subs for that matter.

If Pelosi dies, so what. She was given more warning of the use of deadly force than Ashley Babbit.

Russia First Invites Red Cross To Scene Of Olenivka Tragedy, And Then Not Lets Its Representatives There
31 July 2022, Sunday, 14:51

Russia has not allowed representatives of the International Committee of the Red Cross to go to the colony in occupied Olenivka, where about 50 Ukrainian prisoners of war recently were killed.

The ICRC announced this on Twitter.

"To be clear, our request to access the POWs from Olenivka penal facility yesterday has not been granted. Granting ICRC access to POWs is an obligation of parties to conflict under the Geneva Conventions," the report said.

The Red Cross said that they had asked in advance to give them access to the colony in Olenivka, offered their help. And the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation reported that the Russian Federation allegedly agreed to allow the mission of the United Nations and the International Committee of the Red Cross to the scene of the tragedy in Olenivka.

Trump hired the worst possible hires, so this rings hollow as frick. He'll accept anyone that praises his name.

Perpetual wars will do that to a country.

Our resident "Nationalists" deserted that shite the moment Trump was gone.

Just shared what I saw

If I took a guess I would say, if close to accurate, their gamble is we’d act as we have for Ukraine (non-direct intervention & not invading the aggressor- Russia in that case, China in the case of Taiwan). Are of the opinion we cannot sustain the same level of economic sanctions on China, nor would we get the same international cooperation because China means more than Russia. That we would not openly attack mainland China and they would not openly attack US assets therefore not bringing in NATO.

No idea if that’s what they think or not, just a guess. Nor do I pretend to know the calculus falls that way with us.

Bit oddly worded, but looks like the Ukrainians took out the train with HIMARS.

There are literally zero parallels to draw between the Russia/Ukraine war and a potential invasion of Taiwan by China other than there will be two armed forces shooting at each other in a conflict.

What are the parallels then???

China is not Russia and Taiwan is not Ukraine. China is exponentially more capable than Russia and the same goes for Taiwan compared to Ukraine.

China is a global power while Russia is a regional bully. China hasn’t let corruption and graft destroy its military from within like Russia has. China is the world’s second largest GDP on the planet. China also has a near global reach with its naval bases in Africa.

And let’s stop pretending that China even thinks the Ukraine war is more than a sideshow. They view as about important as the Yugoslavian wars on the 90’s.

Putin planned and built up for months, the tweets indicate Xi is doing similar.

Putin used a bs excuse as a security threat as a pretext for “special operation”, tweets indicate Xi may do the same with Pelosi visit.

Putin believes Ukraine is historically Russian, Xi believes Taiwan is historically Chinese.

Putin gambled we would not directly intervene, Tweets indicate Xi may do the same.

China is atleast 10 years away from having the amphibious capability for an invasion of Taiwan. Plus it will need at least 2 more aircraft carriers to defend the island from the US and/or our Pacific allies from coming to Taiwan’s aid.

If China attacks Taiwan it’s not just them, Japan and the US that would be coming to defend it. You’d have the UK too in the very least and as much as China has built their military up I don’t think they are that dumb to go to war with all 4 countries. Taiwan is important to many western countries, not just ours. Our navy and Air Force alone are more than the Chinese would be able to deal with in an amphibious assault where their ships and troops are very exposed but add to it Britain’s naval strength too and Japan’s geographic location acting as a huge aircraft carrier and staging base would be a hell of a lot for China to overcome. Their losses would be absolutely massive. I just think this is classic saber rattling from them. The Taiwan Strait would turn red with Chinese blood.

There will be no war with Taiwan. This is all just a distraction for the crazy Putin disciples that have shown their arse.
