Biden and the UN have admitted food shortages are on the way. Again, if they already have to admit to something that horrible how bad do you think it’s actually going to be? The UN has warned that 150 million more people are going to go hungry this year.
Then Biden should give his friend Trudeau a talking to about his stupid ag policies following the Netherlands. He should also give scholtz a talking to to make sure they don’t follow suit next. He should also look in the mirror and tell himself not to be just as stupid. US, Germany, Netherlands, Canada all export significant amounts of ag products. There’s a lot more at play in this concern than this one country and it’s war.

It’s worth repeating for OML.

I find all your posts to underestimate Russia. Outside of them not having a plane or tank we aren’t aware of, I wouldn’t underestimate them in their other departments.
I need a tangible specific example. I certainly haven't underestimated them. In fact, my view of any peace agreement is predicated on their strength. If I thought Russia was weak, I certainly wouldn't suggest that they had the ability to both negotiate agreements and then violate them.
Here I think you know you don't have a specific example, and are trying to distract from that fact.
quote:
No, no, no, no. They’re downplaying it as much as possible. If this administration many months out has to admit to this, just in general you can at least multiple the problem by five, and really usually ten. If they’re admitting to something this ghastly already, you bet your arse it’s going to be way worse than that.
Please read carefully. The report was based on 2021 alone. They made no estimates about the future. I'm begging you to read more thoroughly.
quote:
I think you mostly read propaganda.
Like what? Post an example. The irony here is that you posted a CBS link without actually verifying the information yourself. Brother, you desperately need some help with the hierarchy of sources.
quote:
No as far as I’m concerned there’s a lethal fungus that has infected the tree that is Ukraine. I’m saying chop it down and get rid of it before it can spread, and you’re pointing out possibilities that the tree can be saved. You are also telling the fellow forest creatures if I chop down this tree what is to prevent me from chopping down the others just because I could? You are a tree thinker talking to other tree thinkers. Again that’s not a bad thing at all, but you completely discount my forest perspective.
Go back to pop culture references. Allegory and analogy isn't your thing. This makes no sense at all.
quote:
My perspective has not changed: if they attack a NATO state it is war. If not, no.
But this isn't the anti-war position. Do you understand that, right?

but you’re a tree thinker and I’m a forest thinker. Forest and tree thinkers have a hard time communicating, even if both are equally as intelligent as the other.
I'd say you're more in the weeds than the forest, OML. But I don't know frick about shite.

I know. Conservative mythmaking.

Welp the poliboard is unironically using North Korea as a source for the biolab story now.

Selling oil at a $40 per barrel discount is sooo cost effective.
Meanwhile the exports from Texas which were going to Asian markets are going to European refineries.

Guess we need the US to be denazified too since the US Nazi party has about 500 members and Avoz has between 900 and 2500 members.
TIL that most of Azov are Russian speaking from eastern Ukraine...the very people Russia claims to be helping
Also still find it funny that Russia is using Azov as the poster nazi group for all of Ukraine and then uses the Wagner Nazi Group to go fight.

The crazies know hard knees when they see it. That’s the advantage they have on the rest of us.
Seriously, they believe what they want to believe.

Per a former Recon Marine who was bringing humanitarian supplies to the front before Mariupol fell, it was 500 in the Azov Battalion and zero signs of any active Nazis elsewhere in Urkaine. He was on the constant lookout for any.

Actually signs of Nazis in Germany have been biker gangs from former Russian ruled East Germany.

The Russian member of the Duma is claiming that Russia is losing because of mutant superhumans being created in Ukrainian biolabs which the linked article didn't mention.
Oh, and its author cannot spell very well.

My sauce(s) in Ukraine keep telling me to watch Dnipro. They keep saying that something big is going to come out of Dnipro in August in time for Ukrainian Independence Day which is August 24th.
