Invaders lose ammunition depot in Luhansk — Haidai
11 July, 2022
Russian troops lost yet another ammunition depot in temporarily occupied Luhansk.
This was announced by the Head of the Luhansk Regional Administration Serhii Haidai.
“Reports of the invaders losing ammunition warehouses come daily. The most recent one is from Luhansk. Their ammunition supply chain is disturbed, but these losses are yet to become critical – the Russians have too many reserves,” Haidai said.

They had an opportunity to enter NATO. Clinton turned Russia down. That’s specifically what Peterson is referring to.
One thing I’ll agree with Clinton on if true. Russia would be worse than Turkey. Just look at Russia’s participation in the UN. NATO requires an absolute majority, imagine them and Turkey both in NATO. Can’t know if they’d act the same otherwise but imagine their conflicts and support for Assad since this but being in NATO.

Dude, stop throwing mud at a wall in hopes of something sticking. That is all that you seem to do with feelings of what is supposed to have and will happen.
Get out of your basement and go get some fresh air outside.

What happened to the prediction from both Scott Ritter (headed Keystone Kops WMD inspection dullards) and Douglas MacGregor (actual credibility as an armored unit officer in battle) and their predictions that Kyiv was a feint and that Russian tank units would sweep through the "plains" of the east to conquer all of Ukraine?
Why aren't all of those biolabs being trotted out with, "I told you" after being overrun by Russia? Where are all these Nazis and why are they not being trotted out as well? This is a propagandist wet dream to have, and Russia is king at propaganda.

LW will not recognize that. He will point to Russia’s ability to recruit < 50,000 new soldiers and their deployment of T62s as evidence of Russia’s unending manpower and war stocks.

It is pulling 1950's LMTV's (based on 2-1/2 ton Lend Lease trucks) instead of even BMP's for troop movements on the battlefield. Zero armor without any autocannons.

Endless war stocks. Just not modern war stocks. I guess it makes sense if you think about it in Russian.

Russia has been saber rattling over this like Finland joining NATO. Wonder if it will just be more of the same.
Well Russia backed down like a biotch when Sweden and Finland applied join to NATO.

Russians are stubborn I’ll always credit them for that. I was told repeatedly by folks that would know in Russia that Putin wouldn’t dare go past 100000 KWM he blew past that two and a half months ago and is rapidly approaching double that figure in less than a half year. Quite an accomplishment in the annals of World Military History. The losses of military materials is bay of pigs level humiliation. The sad fact is that he represents a massive disappointment to a plurality of Russians now, Who have always deserved better leadership than they’ve gotten for their entire history. If folks in this thread were being honest they’d acknowledge that theft, graft and financial conspiracy have laid low a once proud army and are sending its young and poor to be killed needlessly

So much mixed posts…Big scary Russia will threaten Paris if we don’t stop them yet they are using outdated equipment and scared of Finland now.

Scott Ritter is such a doofus, that I won’t even read his articles to get the counterpoint. His viewpoint is just subjective clickbait trash.

That is why they wanted in. Look at their track record as a permanent security council member. Create division and chaos from within. It would be like inviting the wolf into the lamb's pen.

On ground report from the Donbass. I believe that this pretty much sums up the situation at the moment. Not enough weapons getting through for the Ukrainians to fight back. They are getting pounded and have to sit there and can't fight back because of the lack of weapons/ammunition. Tremendous losses. If Ukraine loses, this will be the reason. Their army wants to fight but they aren't given the weapons/ammunition they need. Ukraine is being ground down. IMO if they had the same resources as the Russians, this would have been over weeks ago.
I don't know if its the inability of Ukraine to deliver the weapons/ammo where it is needed or if the weapons/ammo are just not there because the west has not delivered them.

Just an idea but for now that is purely a hold on position with slow fighting retreat, degrading Russian military in the process. The main focus of new weapons is the South. Ukraine is striking supply routes to Izyum with HIMARS, deep in Donbas with HIMARS at supply depots and supply convoys.
Ukraine is still massing equipment for a thrust from east to west in the south.

My posts are not mixed. I have strictly been on the side of stopping Russia before they get strong enough to threaten NATO. I have also not missed a chance to mock the posters who think that Russia’s military is a global power. It’s large but made up of poorly trained soldiers, equipment that was supposed to be in par with the west (i.e. modernized T72s and T90s) but obviously was not equal to western tech, and now is mostly made up of outdated equipment being pulled out of cold war storage, lead by leaders whose only idea of strategy is to run straight at the enemy and hope it has enough cannon fodder to overwhelm the enemy, and has struggled to take 7% of a country’s in 4 months of fighting when before the war everyone thought that country’s military would not be able to resist more than 48 hours.

quote:I know we have heard for months that Putin dare not get the Russian populace upset with him. For instance, we are told this is why he refuses to declare an official war and thus institute full conscription. I’m not a Russian expert (or expert in anything…) but I just don’t see why he is so fearful of public opinion there.
I was told repeatedly by folks that would know in Russia that Putin wouldn’t dare go past 100000 KWM he blew past that two and a half months ago and is rapidly approaching double that figure in less than a half year.
The Russian populace is known for their sheep-like lack of agency. They’ve always been treated like shite by their government and except for the uprising in 1917, haven’t done anything about it in 300 years. Yes, that was a big exception but outside of that their history is one of total compliance with their government no matter how badly they are treated. So I just don’t understand Putin’s reservations in this regard.
He has the military under his thumb (as if anyone is worried about that outfit…). Ditto on the FSB and lapdog FSO. The GRU-Wagner mercenaries? What’s left of them are kept in Ukraine. No matter who’s paying them, Putin won’t repeat the mistake of bringing them to Moscow. The Diet is more compliant with Putin than he asks. Opposition parties? Media? Don’t make me laugh. The siloviki? These are the current oligarchs that made their fortunes from Putin’s blessings. They were chosen for their loyalty and total compliance and if Putin goes, their fortunes will go as well.
No, I think the only thing Putin has to worry about is a mass “screw this shite, I won’t do it” attitude breaking out everywhere. But I don’t believe the Russians have got that in them. The concept of Russian civil disobedience is a joke. I know I’ve been wrong before, but I just don’t see why he is so worried about the Russian people.
