I understand people siding with Ukraine over Russia in this war. I really do. But what I don’t understand is people’s willingness to see this war drag out for Lord knows how long, especially when it’s obvious to any neutral observer that Ukraine is losing anc the longer the fighting goes on the more they will lose. All that’s happening now is thousands of Ukrainian men and billions in American dollars are being thrown away for no good reason.

Not only gave us a chance but without any government structure to repay the debt until the US Constitution was ratified with a way to sell bonds to raise the funds.

The war hasn’t been dragging on. It’s been a slug fest. It’s not a phony war, It’s a real life David and Goliath.

You act as if Ukraine could quit fighting tomorrow and Russia would quit. You don’t know that. And even if they quit for a year there’s no reason to believe they might decide to invade again. They have been warring with their neighbors this entire century.

It’s has dragged in and David is losing. I’m sorry, I know on TV and the movies the good guy always wins, but this is the real world and Goliath is slowly grinding David into powder.

The situation on the ground is the Russians have the initiative and the Ukrainians lack the military strength to change that fact. Ukraine cannot sustain the losses it’s suffering. It’s that simple. The longer the fighting goes, the weaker Ukraine becomes from a military standpoint and the weaker their position at the negotiation table becomes.

I have no love for Russia. I’ve hated Russia since I was an 18 year old zit faced tanker in West Germany waiting on the Soviet 5th Shock Army to storm through the Fulda Gap. But I’m sorry, the only ones who benefit from this war continuing is Russia and Western politicians and defense contractors pouring hundreds of billions of dollars into Ukraine to keep an already lost war going. I’m sorry, that’s just the cold hard truth.

Down vote it all you want if that makes you feel better. Won’t change the truth though.

So you would have recommended Ukraine just roll on over at the outset? They had no chance right? That’s the reality of it all right?

I think the Ukranians understand what it’s like living under the Russian boot much better than we do, and that’s why they chose to fight.

I don't see anybody wanting the war to drag out. What I see is overwhelmingly people want borders respected and frick anyone who doesn't.

So what? If someone comes to take what's yours, will you just give it to them if they have more firepower or will you take down as much as you can?

Have you considered what the Ukrainians and the world would be throwing away by just letting Russia take what it wants?

The US govt just helped ensure it would. When you subsidize war, you get more war.

When you enable ruthless conquerors by ignoring their actions you get more wars. Running away from a fight doesn’t guarantee peace.

They let Hitler take over nation after nation before finally responding. They let Stalin alone until Stalin needed us and we needed him. Letting Putin alone isn’t the answer. We tried that in Crimea and Georgia.

A small group of ragtag revolutionairies took on the world's most powerful empire fighting for their independence. We just celebrated their struggle yesterday. They were underfunded, underequipped, and faced massive odds. The war drug on...

Did they roll over...frick no

Ukraine desires to remain independent and democratic. Their democracy is flawed just like ours was in 1776 and still is today.

France stepped up and assisted us when we were fighting for our freedom. Now it is our time to do the same for Ukraine.

Ukraine is a massive, resource rich country. We help them and we gain a HUGE ally economically and militarily.

Slava Ukraine

And the cronies are licking their lips. Ukraine residents are dirt poor for the most part, American businessmen are going to be wealthy.

Ukraine is the most corrupt nation in Europe, or top two. That money doesn't make it to the average person.

The only thing Russia has limited is an outright Mobilization. You seriously can't believe this is still true

You would literally be a non functioning retard to think Russia is mobilized at full strength.

You believe in fairy tales, media tells you how its going and you run with it.

To the people who say we need to stay out of other peoples business, and that Ukraine just needs to make some kind of peace agreement, you guys need to go back and read some history, on how major conflicts start. There are so many similarities to how both World Wars started, today in Eastern Europe.

Also, I hate how all of our conflicts, are never an actual US homeland problem, but the sad reality of the world is, the world needs to US to put its head where it doesn’t belong. The world is too crazy, and somehow, the US is the only country that ever has its head somewhat on its shoulders. If it weren’t for us, everyone would try and kill each other, especially the Europeans. You’re wrapped in your own bubble, if you think we can just stay out of everything going on around the world

Don't care. This is Europe's problem to pay for, not mine. Why do people continually support welfare for European nations? Do y'all think Europe can't handle this?

Its a willing boondoggle for cronies to get rich. Ukraine is corrupt like African nations, none of that money we give them will help the average citizen one bit.

But it will help a lot of friends and family of American politicians, and screw the taxpayer.
