As I said at the bottom of the previous page, he’s not as “informed” as he thinks he is and is getting his talking point jumbled up in a fit of exaggeration.
Edit: Notice the tend in that map I shared. The best countries are all in Western Europe. The paler green and yellow countries are former Warsaw Pact countries that have only been integrated into Europe for a comparatively short time.
The actual former Soviet republics are the Orange and red countries.
The lesson is for Ukraine to move away from the Russian orbit into the European orbit, which as a sovereign country, it had every right to do.

Holy shite. Ukraine is in the running for most corrupt country in the world. You are so misinformed it’s embarrassing.
You and your ilk (Lima Whisky) act like Russia isn't right there with them. GTFO with your idiocy.

And I pop in and am immediately reminded why I exited regularly checking in on this thread.
I don't give a shite if Ukraine is a corrupt government. You take the side of the lesser evil and aside from North Korea, Russia is by far the worse of the two.

Ukraine is not an historical enemy challenging us geopolitically.
Ukraine doesn't have the world's largest arsenal of nukes pointed in our direction.
Ukraine isn't lead by a KGB autocrat who's been in power for 20 years.
Ukraine is not attempting to align themselves with China.
The US government is also full of graft and corruption. Would Putin be justified invading Alaska?
No need to answer. It's rhetorical.

Just because the red brigade here keeps saying it’s one of the most corrupt nations over and over again doesn’t mean it’s so.

eta- better yet, explain why you're such a cuck for Putin. I'm just curious if you can do it without mentioning Hunter Biden, the Clinton Foundation, or jews.

What else do you need to hear? You went on some tantrum about Russia and then praised a country that was literally in the USSR like it was the holy sacrament of non corruption!

Mexico is corrupt, guess it would be fine to invade them for no reason.

The Russians invaded Ukraine. Frankly I would not care if Ukraine live streamed every Russia pow being burned in cages.
You are way too personally invested in this man. I realize you have friends there but maybe take a day or two off and reset your brain.

Actually he explicitly said that a Russian victory would be “preferred” earlier in the thread so yes, he is pulling for them.

Is it just me, or every time this gets said in this thread, the next time the poster posts its straight up "cheap, dumb" Russian propaganda

You can’t even get the talking point straight. They are considered corrupt in comparison to the rest of Europe (which isn’t a surprise for a former Eastern Bloc country that has not yet been fully accepted into the European community), but they have a long ways to go before “most corrupt in the world”.
The fact that we’re green on that graphic indicating one of the least corrupt is a farce. The whole argument on not helping Ukraine vs Russia because Ukraine is corrupt is dumb to begin with because a) were corrupt b) basically all govt is corrupt c) we helped the Soviet Union in WWII, also for our own benefit, knowing they were corrupt af.

Morning y’all. Good conversations with my Cz and RU friends this morning. If my RU friends are any indication morale is pretty shite in spite of the incremental “progress” RU is making in the east. They described the mood at their state/private organization as “foggy” and “nervous” they are cautiously optimistic that the rash of suicides and detentions of the managers is done but one of them was spoken to in his office albeit briefly this week about his communications on telegram ie which chat rooms he belonged to etc. Supporters of the invasion and opponents are asking out loud what the hell happened to all the RU military spending (which is a rhetorical question) and why can’t the RU army equip and pay the soldiers and widows? I asked about Ukrainian corruption and both people responded with a variation on the theme”You think they are bad with corruption? Who do you think taught them? Lol” apparently corruption was expected especially when previous Russia backed supported reps were elected. Ukraines problems with Russia started when they wouldn’t play ball ie kick back $$ and wouldn’t elect the favored candidates. Kremlin hates the crowd funded equipment drives as it reveals a truth and the Russian people know it. Sanctions are hitting the right folks at the moment but they will be hitting everyone in June July August. This RU push is costing beaucoup men and materials and the RU soldiers know Putin doesn’t give a frick about them. The self-sabotage we saw earlier continues if not intensified. Soldiers are shooting each other in places where it won’t kill them but removes them from battlefield-except it doesn’t, intercepts have RU commanders refusing ambulances and Wagner group folks are allowed leave and relief. Also amphetamine Use is becoming more common among the frontline RU. So food and equipment is running short but drugs aren’t….Ukrainians according to my Czech friends are actually cautiously optimistic about where things stand they have recalibrated their positions with artillery and they are now pushing back and there are actual reinforcements pouring in they are concerned about being entrapped in some positions but are being blessed by materials and intelligence well above what Russia is able to produce. There are some materials arriving and that have been promised that will arrive that will prove advantageous for the Ukrainians. As long as the 2/1 3/1 ratio is maintained they are happy to be ready, willing and enthusiastic to die to defend the homeland. This ratio is being maintained. I couldn’t find anywhere near the numbers WW is claiming this last week but have been assured Ukraine is underreporting RU WG KIA. MIA and wounded numbers are being reported by RU and as such are being sucked up by various intelligence agencies. CZs are 100 percent confident that the museum quality tanks and APCs being introduced into the war aren’t a feint but a direct correlation to what’s left in the cupboard. Internationally EU and NATO members are being updated, congratulated, talked to, with, cajoled and threatened. Don’t know if it’s Biden but somebody up high sure as frick knows what they are doing in American military/Government/diplomatic corps. For all the talk China is staying in line. No military aid or intelligence sharing.

Some updates:
Russia trying to manifest chemical weapons attack again
Sole Ukrainian fights at least 3 Russians in a trench. Sadly, does not win.
Twitter - drone footage of trench warfare in 2022
Japan considering easing export restrictions on its defense industry to save it, but the timing also matter, at least to me

The National Security Strategy, the country’s long-term security and diplomatic policy guidelines, will also mention strengthening support for the defense industry in revisions to be made by the end of the year, according to the sources.
The move comes amid growing concerns within the government and ruling Liberal Democratic Party that Japan’s defense industry will become unsustainable as companies are pulling out one after another due to low profit margins, with the Self-Defense Forces being their sole client.
