So is Macron and the French. They are just as bad.

Meanwhile Russia is shipping T-62 tanks which have been used for training of reserves, which is not a lot of training
This seems obvious, but that probably means that continued training of further reserves is becoming less effective, right?

Sorry I haven't kept my post volume up to your standards. Had a busy week this week, and haven't had a lot of time to post. I'll try to do better.

Does anyone have a tally on the number of vehicles lost and the casualties on both side at this point?

My take on the current situation.
The Russians have focused the majority of their combat power in the Izium, Popsana and Severodonetsk pocket. They have finally reverted to traditional Russian assault tactics of massive artillery barages followed by ground assaults.
They are making slow progress as the front lines haven't moved substantially. However, they are inflicting serious losses on the Ukrainians and barring something to relieve the pressure they are applying, they will eventually succeed in the area. How long will that take is unknown at this time.
The core questions as I see it:
* How long can the Ukrainians hold out before they have to fall back.
* Can Ukraine replace its losses?
* How bad are the losses in the Ukrainian tier 1 units?
* Are the losses the Ukrainians are inflicting on the Russians enough to make the Russian's combat ineffective at some point?
* Can the Ukrainians launch a counteroffensive that is strong enough to relieve pressure on their troops in the pocket?
* When can the Ukrainians field the majority of their reserves?
This has very much become an artillery war and Russia certainly has the upper hand in that.

Way to say nothing while saying something.

This is the closest thing to a comprehensive list that I've seen. Kind of hard to read and understand.

They also have a list of Ukrainian losses but it is far more likely to be biassed downward.

I think that’s a fair review with no BS.
I want Ukraine to win, but I have always felt that it was an uphill struggle.

Holy Cow, was that a rifle barrel sticking out of the wood's line as the tank destroying weapon was fired?

I’ve watched videos of captured Russian tank commanders saying that they have never even been allowed to live fire the main gun on their tanks in training before coming to Ukraine. If that’s true then that is amazingly pathetic and shows you just how little human life, even Russian lives, means to Russia.
Posted on 5/27/22 at 11:26 am to LSUPilot07
Rob Lee indicated Russia is forming reserve battalions out of training cadre. This will give them 30-40 new battalions to throw into Ukraine but will make it nearly impossible to train new recruits going forward. Russia must think now is do or die time.

If Russian battalions are around the same size as American battalions then that’s really not that many more people. 40,000 soldiers max. Nothing to sneeze at but it’s not like they Have 40 new divisions getting ready to go. Ukrainians need more artillery and countries like France need to be held accountable for pitching in their fair share. They have a very large stockpile of artillery so sending a couple hundred guns with ammunition wouldn’t put a dent in their own forces. It can’t be all on the U.S. to keep them supplied. If Biden had any sense or backbone he would hold these countries accountable but alas we have a puppet in office that looks like he needs Ovaltine and a nap in order to get through the day.

I’m sure Ukraine could have made good use of all the equipment the new regime decided to leave in Afghanistan for the Taliban to use.
